I have these pencils in several colors and I like the texture and the ease of application. They have a lovely smell, sort of minty, but not overpowering and feel good going on. I did not find that they dry out. The ones I bought when they first came out are still nice and moist. They are a cross between a lipstick and a gloss and that applies to how long they stay on your lips, though I have found these to last longer than the 2-ended Just Bitten stain and balm which isn't worth the money.

I agree with a previous reviewer that there are too many bright and dark colors. They could use a few more neutral or subdued tones that don't scream "I have lipstick on!" The ones I have and use most regularly are honey and cherish and darling.

I was super excited to try the Revlon Balm Stains. I'm a fan of the Tarte Lipsurgence crayons, so I thought these would be a nice, easy to access alternative - plus, they are much cheaper.

Overall, I think these are a fine product - not extraordinary by any means, but more...mediocre. They last a long time on the lips, give a bit of shine, feel nice on (at first), and have a minty tingle and scent. The downside (for me) is the texture. These are hard...stiff, difficult to apply.

At first, I found that these wore nicely (after application, which was...hard, pun intended). I like the bit of sheen these give...although after an hour or two of wear, these become very drying on me. Also, I really disliked the 'stain' left behind. These appear to oxidize odd on me...and all of the shades stain my lips a weird pink color (even the nude shades).

I am also a bit disappointed in the color selection. There are many darks and brights, but few neutrals. This shade (Honey) is far too cool on me to be an actual neutral, though I feel it was Revlon's intention to make this an ACTUAL NEUTRAL. It leaves the weird aforementioned pink stain on my lips and is SUPER drying, in general.

I guess, in a nutshell, I'm underwhelmed.

This is the ultimate lip product! The only thing I didn't like is that the color was much lighter than I expected. I will order more in slightly darker colors. Love this lip stick!!!
