I have pretty agreeable hair, but this is good for getting it to wave off of my face just so, and curl under at the bottom (the nape of my neck). The brush has firm, stiff bristles- someone w/ very fine, thin hair, and not much of it, may find it too harsh. I have thick, wavy hair & use it for blowdrying purposes only- I don't find that it works very well for brushing through hair when it's not wet or damp. For that, I prefer Revlon's Red Vent Brush. While you hear "vent brush" & think "hairdryer", that actually works better when I simply want to style my hair, or run a brush through it quickly, and it's already dry & styled to perfect it's placement.
