Most Liked Positive Review Works in my family My 80 Dad and I both take this to prevent a mucus problem. It is really hard to clear excess mucus, but this seems to do the trick and our family likes not hearing us coughing and clearing our throat all the time. VS Most Liked Negative Review Not as expected I have asthma and read the reviews before buying. One person said that they take 2 a day and it stops them from having to clear their throat often. I started taking 2 a day for 2 weeks and saw no difference. Am now taking 1 a day as asthma is bad due to grass pollens etc. Think I'll stop and if I get sick will start taking again. Bottom line this product did not seem to clear the mucus out of my lungs. I have asthma and read the reviews before buying. I use between 1600 mg and 2000 mg of guaifenesin daily. This product performs its needed function with two tablets twice a day. At that volume, cost must be kept low. I've been on Mucinex ER 600mg for quite awhile and it worked. So I tried this and used 1 whole and 1/2 tablet for the same amount of guafenisine. It did not work at all. I'm very disappointed and which switch back to Mucinex even though it's expensive. My local pharmacist suggested guaifenesin, because I cannot take decongestants. It has been a tremendous relief for me. I find these more effective than Mucinex extended-release, and as they are coated, are easier to swallow than most "store brands."
