On day 16 (what I had been predicting from BBT charting) I did get a dark pink line. My line, however, was not as dark (certainly not darker) than the pink line in the reference window. I've been TTC for nearly a year, and I'm so eager for that dark pink line. I had to seek opinions from my husband and my mother (both of whom were fascinated by how it worked)! They insisted that because it wasn't as dark as the reference line, I wasn't close to ovulation. The next day (as well as the following 5 days) I got no line at all. Obviously I missed my chance, but at least now I know what color line I'm looking for. I was frustrated that I missed another chance to conceive and returned two unopened boxes of these. I wish I hadn't. This product is easy to use, and although my line wasn't as dark as the reference line, it was an accurate indication of ovulation. I'm going to purchase more of these as well as another ovulation prediction kit to compare results. I really liked that there were 7 sticks in the box, but it appears that they've changed it to 5 and kept the price the same. One final note of advice: if you aren't sure when you ovulate, or if you have cycles of varying lengths (28 days one month and 36 the next), you'll need more than one box; you need to begin testing early (the kit comes with a little chart to tell you when to begin testing) to be certain you don't miss ovulation. To get an idea of how many kits to buy, try "ovulation calendar" in a search engine. VS Most Liked Negative Review Well this is my first ... I can clearly read negative results however, now on the results window the line is half light pink half dark pink so it doesn't equal the solid dark pink line but it is definitely darker than the negative result. Does this mean I'm ovulating or that I'm about to ovulate? Has anyone else had this problem? Please Help. I've been trying to conceive for a few years now. Comments about Rite Aid One Step Ovulation Predictor, 5 Day Test Kit, 1 kit: The thing that drives me crazy about this product is that you need the directions with you if you forget whether it's square or the oval window that's the test window. This is only my first month using the kit, and I'm finding the lines hard to interpret. It appears I've been ovulating for 3 days now, which seems unlikely. Maybe I'm just an LH machine. Comments about Rite Aid One Step Ovulation Predictor, 5 Day Test Kit, 1 kit: I never thought I understood how people found opks hard to read until I had to read this...It says that the line should be as dark as or darker than the comparison line...well, I got very negative results every day except one day when HALF of my line was as dark as the comparison...then it went back to being negative...I ready this as positive compared to my other results, but who really knows! Best Uses Comments about Rite Aid One Step Ovulation Predictor, 5 Day Test Kit, 1 kit: This test never showed the dark line it said it would. I had a faint line for two days (about when I thought I would be ovulating), then nothing at all after that. I missed my chance waiting for the dark line it said would show up when I was ovulating. I haven't had this problem with the name brand tests I've used the last couple of months. This is the last time I trust a store brand for something like this. Comments about Rite Aid One Step Ovulation Predictor, 5 Day Test Kit, 1 kit: I bought this product after having read the positive reviews. However, I had a really difficult time reading the test. Instead of the whole second line turning dark pink, only the left hand side of the line was darker than the test line, making it confusing and difficult to determine if I was actually ovulating. I didn't get pregnant this month, hard to tell if it is because of the test or not, but I don't plan on using this product again.
