Anyway, gorgeous tin; the balm smells great, if you like roses, that is (I do); and then I go to use it. I don't know about you, but I don't like to stick my fingers into my balms unless it's some "balm emergency". I'll use my lips until I can no longer get at it that way. So I did so with this product, very lightly, and ended up with goop EVERYWHERE. This stuff is SOFT and SMOOSHY beyond belief. What a mess. But now I know. APPROACH WITH CAUTION!!! Store this somewhere cool. It's worth the extra measures because it is awesome. There's a reason people have been buying it since 1892! It's perfection in a pretty tin. It's hyper-lightweight, but stays on. It's flavor/scent are very light, but soooooo nice. And chapping? Buh bye... in ONE use. How's that? Granted, it was light chapping, but still... I have very dry lips and this did not penetrate or heal. In fact it felt like my lips were getting drier the more I used it! This might be better for someone who does not have sensitive lips. The only reason I gave it two stars instead of one is because I use it on my cuticles (though it does leave my hands oily). I prefer Sally Hansen Lip Butter hands down! Comments about Rosebud Perfume Co. Smith's Rosebud Salve, .8 oz: I have used this on everything from dry lips to my toddler's chapped cheeks, and it is wonderfully soothing! I was surprised, also, when I got it, the tin was a lot larger than I expected, which is a big plus. Every woman should have this in her purse. I love that it is not sticky, and that a little goes a long way, The scent is also wonderfully feminine and subtle. I HIGHLY recommend this! Pros

Comments about Rosebud Perfume Co. Smith's Rosebud Salve, .8 oz: This is the most pleasant alternative to the over-priced "lip gloss" or "chapstick" products that I have found. It is "old-timey", very nearly tasteless (except for a pleasant, faintly fruity taste),. One tin will last months with daily application. Caution: It will melt inside a hot car. I highly recommend buying several - one for each room, pocket or purse. It is much more of a "balm" than a "cosmetic". I adore the stuff! Pros

Comments about Rosebud Perfume Co. Smith's Rosebud Salve, .8 oz: I love this stuff. Because I have chronic drymouth I also have chronically chapped lips that get horrendously bad in the winter with heat inside and dry air insode as well as outside. When I use this on my lips routinely, they stay smooth and uncracked. If I forget to use and they get bad, a few days of using it heals them right up, which isn't true for most other lip treatments I've tried. And it smells nice and it a good value--a little goes a long way! Comments about Rosebud Perfume Co. Smith's Rosebud Salve, .8 oz: Contains petroleum....I did not expect this in a "natural" product. The rose smell is too strong. Pros

Comments about Rosebud Perfume Co. Smith's Rosebud Salve, .8 oz: I discovered Rosebud Perfume Co. Smith's Rosebud Salve over four years ago on a trip to Atlanta. Unfortunately the store where I found it is not located where I live but thankfully I discovered that drugstore.com had it. I buy it in bulk and keep the tins everywhere around my house, one on my desk at work, and one in my purse, of course. Don't, however, leave it in your car in the summer or you will have a mess. I use it on my lips and my cuticles. It has just a slight tint of color and it's glossy which is perfect for me since I don't do well with lipstick. I use it as a substitute for lotion on my hands even though it can be a bit greasy at first. It soaks in your hands pretty quickly though and if you use it sparingly it won't be that greasy. Even my husband uses it in a pinch. I found one time when I applied it to a bump on my face that the bump went away quickly. Not sure if that was just a fluke but the tin says it can be used for blemishes. It lasts a long time so you get your money's worth. I've given it as gifts to friends and they enjoy it too. One final thing, my husband loves to kiss me when I have it on my lips. Pros
