Anyway, gorgeous tin; the balm smells great, if you like roses, that is (I do); and then I go to use it. I don't know about you, but I don't like to stick my fingers into my balms unless it's some "balm emergency". I'll use my lips until I can no longer get at it that way. So I did so with this product, very lightly, and ended up with goop EVERYWHERE. This stuff is SOFT and SMOOSHY beyond belief. What a mess. But now I know. APPROACH WITH CAUTION!!! Store this somewhere cool. It's worth the extra measures because it is awesome. There's a reason people have been buying it since 1892! It's perfection in a pretty tin. It's hyper-lightweight, but stays on. It's flavor/scent are very light, but soooooo nice. And chapping? Buh bye... in ONE use. How's that? Granted, it was light chapping, but still... I have very dry lips and this did not penetrate or heal. In fact it felt like my lips were getting drier the more I used it! This might be better for someone who does not have sensitive lips. The only reason I gave it two stars instead of one is because I use it on my cuticles (though it does leave my hands oily). I prefer Sally Hansen Lip Butter hands down! Comments about Rosebud Perfume Co. Smith's Rosebud Salve, .8 oz: this is a great product for dry skin, but a little greasy on the fingers, just take time to sit down and let is soak in, or put on at night with white cotton gloves. good for cracked feet and even for skin irritatioins on my dog. only thing is the tin is really hard to open, I finally put plastic wrap over mine. also, the size could be bigger, I use it up fast. great smell and overall a good barain. Comments about Rosebud Perfume Co. Smith's Rosebud Salve, .8 oz: I've been buying this since high school and it's really just the best lip balm there is. I use it every day and it's got enough gloss in it to double as a lipstick. And I don't mean glossy as in sticky. It's just got a nice quality to it. Pros

Comments about Rosebud Perfume Co. Smith's Rosebud Salve, .8 oz: A must have lip balm for me. I use it for daily use on lips and it also works well has a spot hand cream if you don't have hand cream handy. I really like the light rose scent in it too. Pros

Comments about Rosebud Perfume Co. Smith's Rosebud Salve, .8 oz: This is alright. It's mostly scented Vaseline. That's not a bad thing, because it does smell nice and is fun to use. But it's nothing special. I think it's worth the [$] because the tin lasts forever and its easier to tote around than a jar of Vaseline, if you want to compare it that way, and it's fun and smells good, but as far quality and the product itself, it's only okay. Comments about Rosebud Perfume Co. Smith's Rosebud Salve, .8 oz: I had this balm a year ago and it works pretty well. The smell is pretty decent and it's very moisturizing. I have very chapped lips so no matter what product I use on my lips, they will crack and get chapped no matter what. But it's something I have to just deal with so my sister had gotten me this lip product and it's pretty good! It keeps my lips non-chapped for sometime BUT its so greasy! My fingers are so slippery and I seriously have to wipe my hands on something to get the grease off. Also I HATE that it comes in a tin! Its hard as hell to open and you have to find so many alternatives to get it open! I rather have it in a tube or something. Comments about Rosebud Perfume Co. Smith's Rosebud Salve, .8 oz: Scented petrolatum in a tin. Petrolatum is nice and protective for the skin, so it's pretty good lip balm; however, Vaseline brand is cheaper and does the same thing. Comments about Rosebud Perfume Co. Smith's Rosebud Salve, .8 oz: Loved it at first. Less thick than Vaseline and kind of smells nice. But it kind of works like Vaseline- coats lips and prevents moisture-loss. Because it doesn't really get absorbed, it only slightly softens dry lips. I'd probably use this more if it were in a tube. After a while, dipping in the pot is just messy and to lazy me- not worth the trouble for its benefits. Trying Aveeno lotion for my dry lips next. But as far as pot-balms go, I like this. Comments about Rosebud Perfume Co. Smith's Rosebud Salve, .8 oz: This is a nice, soft balm that feels comfortable on the lips, has a delicate fragrance and I find it easy to open. After less than a week's use, my lips were softer and looked better. The vintage looking tin is decorated with... what else? Roses, and is rather pretty. I will definitely always keep a tin on hand. Comments about Rosebud Perfume Co. Smith's Rosebud Salve, .8 oz: I get allergies from lip balms easily but surprisingly I am able to use this brand. The packaging is very cool and I like the rose flavor. I like it so much that I want to buy another tin. Displaying reviews 171-180 ![]() |
