Anyway, gorgeous tin; the balm smells great, if you like roses, that is (I do); and then I go to use it. I don't know about you, but I don't like to stick my fingers into my balms unless it's some "balm emergency". I'll use my lips until I can no longer get at it that way. So I did so with this product, very lightly, and ended up with goop EVERYWHERE. This stuff is SOFT and SMOOSHY beyond belief. What a mess. But now I know. APPROACH WITH CAUTION!!! Store this somewhere cool. It's worth the extra measures because it is awesome. There's a reason people have been buying it since 1892! It's perfection in a pretty tin. It's hyper-lightweight, but stays on. It's flavor/scent are very light, but soooooo nice. And chapping? Buh bye... in ONE use. How's that? Granted, it was light chapping, but still... I have very dry lips and this did not penetrate or heal. In fact it felt like my lips were getting drier the more I used it! This might be better for someone who does not have sensitive lips. The only reason I gave it two stars instead of one is because I use it on my cuticles (though it does leave my hands oily). I prefer Sally Hansen Lip Butter hands down! It stays on your lips for a long time, and doesn't feel too greasy. I also use it on my cuticles. It smells good, but not like roses. Comments about Rosebud Perfume Co. Smith's Rosebud Salve, .8 oz: Expensive, messy, and goopy. It smells like Vaseline, but more expensive. Comments about Rosebud Perfume Co. Smith's Rosebud Salve, .8 oz: I love this stuff. This is the only thing that soothes my dry chapped lips. I have tried almost every balm and this does not cause my lips to crack and bleed like the others, I gave it four stars because it is gooey. Comments about Rosebud Perfume Co. Smith's Rosebud Salve, .8 oz: This stuff is fantastic. I don't know what the bad reviews are talking about. You can use it for everything, I put it on my chapped lips, on my tattoos to help heal them, I use a little as wax for my hair, whatever you need it for, it does the job. I stock it in my makeup kit, it is a must for me for sure. Comments about Rosebud Perfume Co. Smith's Rosebud Salve, .8 oz: The Rosebud Salve is not at its best when used for hand cream. It really is better for lips (excellent for lips!) and cuticles. Other small areas, like small spots of severe dry skin, would benefit as well. A little goes a long way and the delicate scent is nice. Comments about Rosebud Perfume Co. Smith's Rosebud Salve, .8 oz: It smells nice and one of the best multi-purpose goops to take on an airplane. It is a little messy, but works well. Comments about Rosebud Perfume Co. Smith's Rosebud Salve, .8 oz: This stuff is utterly disgusting. It's what I imagine Vaseline would be like if it were warmed (i.e., more gooey) and sprinkled with diaper powder. I think Vaseline and Eucerin are much better products of this variety. If you're looking for a good hand cream or salve for severely dry or chapped skin, nothing beats Neutrogena hand cream. I've tried dozens upon dozens of hand creams/balms, including expensive "designer" and boutique creams, and I stand by Neutrogena hand cream. Comments about Rosebud Perfume Co. Smith's Rosebud Salve, .8 oz: The product is too good. I am happy with this product. Comments about Rosebud Perfume Co. Smith's Rosebud Salve, .8 oz: I like this vintage looking tin. Comments about Rosebud Perfume Co. Smith's Rosebud Salve, .8 oz: I used to use Vaseline on my lips every night. But I decided to give this a try after a especially bad case of chapped lips that just wouldn't get better. This stuff is amazing, my lips got better within days of using this product. This is after trying all the different lip products I own and not finding any success. I'm not a big fan of the smell, but it's not too empowering, and sometimes it feels a little heavy on my lips, but I always put it on in the morning and night and it keeps my lips from getting too dry and chapped. I just wish that I can find this at a store so it's more convenient to buy. But even with daily use, it should last me a while. Displaying reviews 211-220 ![]() |
