Anyway, gorgeous tin; the balm smells great, if you like roses, that is (I do); and then I go to use it. I don't know about you, but I don't like to stick my fingers into my balms unless it's some "balm emergency". I'll use my lips until I can no longer get at it that way. So I did so with this product, very lightly, and ended up with goop EVERYWHERE. This stuff is SOFT and SMOOSHY beyond belief. What a mess. But now I know. APPROACH WITH CAUTION!!! Store this somewhere cool. It's worth the extra measures because it is awesome. There's a reason people have been buying it since 1892! It's perfection in a pretty tin. It's hyper-lightweight, but stays on. It's flavor/scent are very light, but soooooo nice. And chapping? Buh bye... in ONE use. How's that? Granted, it was light chapping, but still... I have very dry lips and this did not penetrate or heal. In fact it felt like my lips were getting drier the more I used it! This might be better for someone who does not have sensitive lips. The only reason I gave it two stars instead of one is because I use it on my cuticles (though it does leave my hands oily). I prefer Sally Hansen Lip Butter hands down! It leaves my horribly chapped lips feeling like butter. I wish I could give it 10 stars! Comments about Rosebud Perfume Co. Smith's Rosebud Salve, .8 oz: This is a great lip balm...keeps my lips supple and soft! Doesn't wear off for a while. Highly recommended! Comments about Rosebud Perfume Co. Smith's Rosebud Salve, .8 oz: It's absolutely amazing! I originally used it only on my lips (it leaves a beautiful sheer rosy color), then I was on a retreat in the mountains with my friend who's hands were extremely dry and cracked from the altitude. I told her to try rubbing it on them, and they were 100% better. Now I use it on absolutely everything. It doesn't smell great, but it's not overpowering. The salve is so great that its smell can be overlooked. Comments about Rosebud Perfume Co. Smith's Rosebud Salve, .8 oz: I LOVE using the salve. First used it over a year ago. Like others, I am a lip balm junkie. I keep coming back to the Rosebud :) BUT I do NOT agree that the scent is too strong like people mentioned. Light and refreshing to me. Also it was first created/developed back in 1892, so what other choices do you think they had back then but what your grandmother and great grandmothers would use.... Comments about Rosebud Perfume Co. Smith's Rosebud Salve, .8 oz: I love this product!!! My mother used Rosebud salve on us as children. She used it on our scrapes and chapped lips, and for many other uses. Rosebud Salve has saved us many doctor's visits. Now that I'm a Grandmother, I use it on my grandchildren. Thank you for a fantastic product. Comments about Rosebud Perfume Co. Smith's Rosebud Salve, .8 oz: Not bad. Seems exactly like the Mary Kay Satin Hands nighttime moisturizer, so it's nothing special. Nevertheless, it is a good lip balm. Comments about Rosebud Perfume Co. Smith's Rosebud Salve, .8 oz: I love this balm, and they also have a stawberry one. I tend to like it a little better, and it smells and tastes like stawberries. Love it, love it, love it. Comments about Rosebud Perfume Co. Smith's Rosebud Salve, .8 oz: I LOVE this product. I use it on my lips, and like others have mentioned, it is great for minor cuts and dry hands. I tried the Strawberry version, and while I prefer the smell of that one, the texture is more waxy and it does not moisturize as well as the original. Comments about Rosebud Perfume Co. Smith's Rosebud Salve, .8 oz: This is probably the best lip balm I have ever used. I am used to using Blistex and all the other well known balms, but I never came across this at the stores. I decided to order some from drugstore.com, and I'm so glad I did! It does such a great job at keeping my lips soft and supple, and it doesn't just stand on your lips like many other lip balms. It actually absorbs and softens the lips. I'll addmit; I'm not crazy about the so-called "rose scent, but hey, as long as it's not overpowering, I'm good-- and it's not. All in all, this is probably the best lip balm you'll ever encounter. I use it every night! Comments about Rosebud Perfume Co. Smith's Rosebud Salve, .8 oz: Great product. Very soothing on the lips and not thick or sticky at all. The scent is light, and not heavy or irritating. Additionally, one day I was in a pinch and out of eye cream, so I used it under my eyes with great results. Displaying reviews 241-250 ![]() |
