Anyway, gorgeous tin; the balm smells great, if you like roses, that is (I do); and then I go to use it. I don't know about you, but I don't like to stick my fingers into my balms unless it's some "balm emergency". I'll use my lips until I can no longer get at it that way. So I did so with this product, very lightly, and ended up with goop EVERYWHERE. This stuff is SOFT and SMOOSHY beyond belief. What a mess. But now I know. APPROACH WITH CAUTION!!! Store this somewhere cool. It's worth the extra measures because it is awesome. There's a reason people have been buying it since 1892! It's perfection in a pretty tin. It's hyper-lightweight, but stays on. It's flavor/scent are very light, but soooooo nice. And chapping? Buh bye... in ONE use. How's that? Granted, it was light chapping, but still... I have very dry lips and this did not penetrate or heal. In fact it felt like my lips were getting drier the more I used it! This might be better for someone who does not have sensitive lips. The only reason I gave it two stars instead of one is because I use it on my cuticles (though it does leave my hands oily). I prefer Sally Hansen Lip Butter hands down! Smith's Rosebud Salve, .8 oz: Now that I've found Rosebud Salve, I am amazed by the difference in my lips. In warm weather, just a coating of this will do, and it stays on for a long time. In cold weather or if my lips are particularly dry, I will put some moisturizer on my lips, let it soak in, then use the Rosebud Salve, and my lips look and feel plump, moist and healthy. This product does a great job protecting and retaining moisture, but it won't ADD moisture to your lips, but no lip balms do--moisture means water content, and balms are oil-based. That said, this is one of the best lip products I have ever used, and I recommend it highly! Comments about Rosebud Perfume Co. Smith's Rosebud Salve, .8 oz: Just wanted to add that I recently began using this product as a nightime "eye cream." The results were so astounding that I now put a light layer on my whole face before bed. I swear it makes my skin look younger and dewier than anything else I've tried. It also helps heal and even out skin tone from minor blemishes, and does NOT cause any breakouts. My skin is way healthier and younger-looking since using this stuff as a nightime moisturizer! Comments about Rosebud Perfume Co. Smith's Rosebud Salve, .8 oz: OK - I just read all the reviews, and only found a couple others that mentioned the little miracle I've experienced with this (besides being a great lip balm)... This stuff is AMAZING on blemishes. It heals them so fast. I've also started putting a very thin layer of the salve on my face at night before bed (rubbed between warm, damp hands and then spread over my face). My skin loves this stuff. Comments about Rosebud Perfume Co. Smith's Rosebud Salve, .8 oz: I absolutely agree with the reviewer who heats this up with a hair dryer. I accidentally left the tin on top of my stove while heating dinner in the oven. Once the salve cooled it lost it's vaseline like texture and became thinner. That being said, a little goes a long way. Comments about Rosebud Perfume Co. Smith's Rosebud Salve, .8 oz: i've been using this for over three years now. I love it and it lasts a very long time. One tin lasted me about almost a year. I cant force myself to use vaseline, because I can't put that stuff on my lips. The taste isn't bearable. My suggestion is when you get a tin of this stuff, take a hairdryer and blow it on the top of the uncovered tin until it's a liquid. After it cools, this salve ends up more balm-y, which makes it easier to apply. This way, if you leave this balm in your bag, it won't melt all over everything. I use rosebud salve on everything, from my lips to cuticles to dry skin to grooming my eyebrows. It's the best. Comments about Rosebud Perfume Co. Smith's Rosebud Salve, .8 oz: I've been using this for a year now and LOVE it! Even made a believer out of my boyfriend. He was using mine so often that I had to buy one just for him. Suprisingly, it lasts a really long time. Comments about Rosebud Perfume Co. Smith's Rosebud Salve, .8 oz: I'm a 21 year old male and I use this stuff on my lips. Even though I'm a guy, doesn't mean I shouldn't take care of my lips. My girlfriend loves how smooth and perfect my lips feel all the time. This thing lasts a long time and is easily applied. Smells pretty good too. I recommend this to anyone. Comments about Rosebud Perfume Co. Smith's Rosebud Salve, .8 oz: This stuff smells amazing, although it's not as long-lasting as some other balms. Comments about Rosebud Perfume Co. Smith's Rosebud Salve, .8 oz: THE BEST lip balm I've ever tried and I've actually tried quite a few...even prescription treatments because my lips and the skin around them used to be so dry as to crack. It lasts a very long time and I've used it from lips to dry hands when I couldn't find lotion. Comments about Rosebud Perfume Co. Smith's Rosebud Salve, .8 oz: One of my 'can't-live-without' beauty products. nothing works like this for me on my forever-chapped (in their natural state) lips. Scent is really subtle. Not too glossy, especially great before bed-time. There's a reason why it's a favorite staple of make-up artists and models. Displaying reviews 261-270 ![]() |
