Anyway, gorgeous tin; the balm smells great, if you like roses, that is (I do); and then I go to use it. I don't know about you, but I don't like to stick my fingers into my balms unless it's some "balm emergency". I'll use my lips until I can no longer get at it that way. So I did so with this product, very lightly, and ended up with goop EVERYWHERE. This stuff is SOFT and SMOOSHY beyond belief. What a mess. But now I know. APPROACH WITH CAUTION!!! Store this somewhere cool. It's worth the extra measures because it is awesome. There's a reason people have been buying it since 1892! It's perfection in a pretty tin. It's hyper-lightweight, but stays on. It's flavor/scent are very light, but soooooo nice. And chapping? Buh bye... in ONE use. How's that? Granted, it was light chapping, but still... I have very dry lips and this did not penetrate or heal. In fact it felt like my lips were getting drier the more I used it! This might be better for someone who does not have sensitive lips. The only reason I gave it two stars instead of one is because I use it on my cuticles (though it does leave my hands oily). I prefer Sally Hansen Lip Butter hands down! Every morning I apply some to my ears and rub it in.After a few minutes I will rub my ears again to work it into the skin and eliminate the greasiness of the save. No more embarrassing dry dandruff like dead skin on my ears. It's great. Pros

I wouldn't describe the scent as rose, more of a medicinal scent. It isn't terrible, but not a true rose. I would hail this balm if it was made from castor oil, vegetable oil, beeswax, or any other still inexpensive more natural ingredients to create this product. it has a huge following and I don't know why, it would be good for lips or face if all you are trying to do is prevent dehydration but its really shiny and doesn't really moisturize. I would love to find a true rose balm...the quest continues. Pros Cons

The smell is wonderful with a mildly sweet taste. However, I was dissapointed because I constantly had to re-apply it. I also used it at bedtime and by morning my lips were very dry. There are many other products out there and do a much better job. Pros
