I've wanted to try this product for a loooooong time, and finally just saw it again on here, so I ordered it. I know... very exciting tale. Anyway, gorgeous tin; the balm smells great, if you like roses, that is (I do); and then I go to use it. I don't know about you, but I don't like to stick my fingers into my balms unless it's some "balm emergency". I'll use my lips until I can no longer get at it that way. So I did so with this product, very lightly, and ended up with goop EVERYWHERE. This stuff is SOFT and SMOOSHY beyond belief. What a mess. But now I know. APPROACH WITH CAUTION!!! Store this somewhere cool. It's worth the extra measures because it is awesome. There's a reason people have been buying it since 1892! It's perfection in a pretty tin. It's hyper-lightweight, but stays on. It's flavor/scent are very light, but soooooo nice. And chapping? Buh bye... in ONE use. How's that? Granted, it was light chapping, but still...
This is definitely a buy-again. Even with the smoosh-factor. :)

Love this product as do most people.
Probably will get strawberry flavor next time as the old standby does have a bit of a baby lotion taste to me.

I have always had extreme chapped lips. They look horrible and they hurt. I have tried many different balms and gloss's. I have tried lip exfoliants which would help for just a few hours.
Well...now the chapped, hurt lips are in the past because of Rosebud Salve! I got mine yesterday and after having it on for a few minutes I could tell it was working. I wore it over night and woke up with smooth lips. I now look forward to putting on my lipstick. I am so happy that I found this product. It is priced right and will become a favorite staple in my purse!
I do not find that the smell is over powering. I think it is just right. It is a lovely fragrance if you like roses if you don't try another scent. Your lips will thank you.

I tried this salve because I saw it recommended in a beauty magazine. I have been very pleased with it!! My finger tips get very dry and crack in the winter. I have been massaging a little of this salve on my fingertips before bed and my hands are healed. It has a lovely delicate rose scent. This salve is going in everyones 2010 Christmas stocking!

This product is terrific for chapped lips & dry skin. I have not used it on blemishes, burns, or any of the other possible uses. I use it 1-2 times daily on my hands and cuticles which had become painfully dry and chapped due to the extremely cold weather. I also use it multiple times daily on my lips.

This product smells delightful, and feels sensual. It does not feel thick and greasy, and a very minimal amount is very effective. However, if you cake it on then your hands will feel a little greasy for a few minutes until it is absorbed. Even though it isn't goopy and sticky, my hair will sometimes cling to my lips after I've just applied it.

Bottom Line: For hands it works as well as Crabtree & Evelyn Hand Theraphy, at a fraction of the price. For lips it works as well as Softlips, but you get more product for your buck. So this is a beauty steal! A classic must have.

I love this stuff. It is good for so many things and I keep finding out about even more uses. It has helped clear rashes on the skin of babies and even helped in healing the scars left behind by an attack of bed bugs. It is a great lip balm too. It is just a great thing to keep around for any and all skin issues. You can even use it for diaper rash. Of course I like to keep more than 1 tin on hand, because you don't want to use the same tin on your lips as you use on a rash.

I use this as a lip balm and to help with windburn, and it works great! It lasts long enough so that i don't feel like i'm constantly applying it and it has a nice, light scent and very little taste.
The jar was bigger than I expected, too, which was a nice surprise!
