Anyway, gorgeous tin; the balm smells great, if you like roses, that is (I do); and then I go to use it. I don't know about you, but I don't like to stick my fingers into my balms unless it's some "balm emergency". I'll use my lips until I can no longer get at it that way. So I did so with this product, very lightly, and ended up with goop EVERYWHERE. This stuff is SOFT and SMOOSHY beyond belief. What a mess. But now I know. APPROACH WITH CAUTION!!! Store this somewhere cool. It's worth the extra measures because it is awesome. There's a reason people have been buying it since 1892! It's perfection in a pretty tin. It's hyper-lightweight, but stays on. It's flavor/scent are very light, but soooooo nice. And chapping? Buh bye... in ONE use. How's that? Granted, it was light chapping, but still... I have very dry lips and this did not penetrate or heal. In fact it felt like my lips were getting drier the more I used it! This might be better for someone who does not have sensitive lips. The only reason I gave it two stars instead of one is because I use it on my cuticles (though it does leave my hands oily). I prefer Sally Hansen Lip Butter hands down! Comments about Rosebud Perfume Co. Smith's Rosebud Salve, .8 oz: Great moisture for the face (daytime and night) - makes the skin glisten....I love it! Pros Cons
Best Uses Comments about Rosebud Perfume Co. Smith's Rosebud Salve, .8 oz: I couldn't stand the scent of this product long enough to tell whether it would be an effective lip balm. I grow roses, and whatever's in this Vaseline-like substance must've originated in a chemical manufacturer's facility, not a rose. Worse still, the fake 'rose' element of the scent is overpowered by some sort of (also fake) fruity scent. Pros

Comments about Rosebud Perfume Co. Smith's Rosebud Salve, .8 oz: I had serious jaw reconstructive surgery & a lip moisturizer was recommended post-op. Similiar surgerical post-op patients recommended Vaseline or Aquaphor Healing Ointment on their blogs. But they did complain it wasn't as effective as they would've liked. However, I found the Rosebud Salve to moisturize better and last a lot longer. The rosey smell was a little stronger than I prefer, but that's a very small price to pay for the product's effectiveness. Pros

Comments about Rosebud Perfume Co. Smith's Rosebud Salve, .8 oz: This is a lip balm not a lip gloss. It goes on clear for me and has a wonderful rose garden smell that lasts until the product absorbs after about 5 or 10 minutes. Pros Cons

Comments about Rosebud Perfume Co. Smith's Rosebud Salve, .8 oz: The only "rose aspect is the color. Chemical smell, nasty taste, unpleasant texture. Waste of money. Pros

Comments about Rosebud Perfume Co. Smith's Rosebud Salve, .8 oz: I read great reviews on this.. tried it and it is a great product. No more chapped lips. I put it on my lips every evening before bed. I also layer it on my cuticles and rub on my elbows. Pros

Comments about Rosebud Perfume Co. Smith's Rosebud Salve, .8 oz: I really like this although I think I was expecting more of a solid perfume than an all purpose salve (even though that is how it is marketed) It has a very nice but very light rose scent. It does make a good lip balm, and is great for smaller patches of dry skin (great in winter). I have to say I am still happy with it even though I misinformed myself on what to expect. Pros
