I have very short hair and part about 4 times, front to back, and once across the back ear to ear. Then work it in with your fingers. I use a blow dryer just to give direction. I've been able to go 3 days without a hair wash which I've never been able to do before. I think it keeps the hair off the scalp which keeps it from getting oily. In the past year I've had 2 bottles that the nozzle has stopped working-just won't spray. So I've lost 1 whole bottle of the product since this happened at half full. One other time there was no nozzle on the bottle. I think their quality control department needs improvement.
