My husband was given a recomendation for this product due to his occasional dandruff from hair product buildup. During the hot summer and cold winters he would get pretty bad dandruff, and head and shoulders would just dry out his hair!! This product has worked fantastic for him, he hasn't had any sign of dandruff in over a year!! I did try it (I have fine somewhat dry hair) it smelled great and cleaned my hair well, but I do not recommend using daily for this type of hair, works too well!! Now my husband uses it three times a week and the other days uses a more conditioning shampoo (matrix sleek look). I love his hair now, so touchable!

I use this shampoo just to deeply cleanse the top of my scalp, where it is needed the most. After rinsing off the first lather, I apply another shampoo whose scent better appeals to me. This leaves my hair thoroughly cleansed, together with an appealing scent.

I am looking for a deep cleaning shampoo to counter-act my extremely, extremely hard water. I have been using Neutrogena Deep Clean and decided to branch out to Rusk. I used this and the pink "clarify" shampoos. This green "purify" does about the same as the clarify, but the smell for the pink one is better. The green purify smells medicinal - I feel like I'm lathering up with Vick's cough syrup mixed with melaleuca. I am a fan of melaleuca, so I thought I'd have no issue with this, but I can't get over the scent, so I'm sticking with pink "clarify."

I purchased this product to cut build-up from a different shampoo that I have been using. It worked well for a month or so, now, it just dries my scalp! I have never had dandruff, but now I do! Now I have to find another shampoo to give me my natural moisture back on my head :\

I fight flaky scalp and decided to try this as an alternative to using a dandruff shampoo daily. This works well, easily cuts through product on my hair, and lathers up well. However, the nice lather is likely due to the second ingredient (behind water) being Sodium Laureth Sulfate, a foaming agent that can be a health concern. Once or twice a week I find that I still need to use a medicated dandruff shampoo (my stylist recommended the one from Davines Natural Tech, and I've been pleased with it). I'm overall pleased with shampoo but still looking for a SLS/SLES-free, non-medicated shampoo that will help with dandruff and leave my hair looking nice. Probably a pipe dream!

I started putting this in my son's bathwater to try and prevent a lice infestation in his scalp after our daughter brought lice home from school. Not only did he not get lice, but added to the bathwater, this made a very foamy and long lasting bubble bath. This is one of the best products I've found for making a bubble bath.

I started buying this product for my teenaged son, but use it myself... it really cleans deep down, helps with acne breakouts, and smells fresh, not too strong of melaleuca. Wish it came in a liter bottle.
