I love the smell of this shampoo. It makes my hair so soft and shiny. I only use this shampoo when I am going to flat iron since it makes it soft and helps smooth out my natural waves. It can make hair a little flat but mine is so thick so it isn't an issue.
Love this shampoo too! My Mom bought it for the first time about 10 years ago, but didn't like it. When I tried the leftovers, though, I found it absolutely perfect. I've been using it almost exclusively ever since, for nearly 10 years (I'm in my 30s)! I have normal uncolored and unpermed hair, and this is the only shampoo that I've tried that makes my hair look and style the way I like.
I color my hair so it's really dry. Ten years ago in Washington, DC, a professional hair stylist recommended Rusk products to me to moisturize my hair. I have used it ever since, and it's fabulous. It keeps my hair healthy looking and never dry.
This shampoo made my delicate golden blonde ringlets droop! And, it left a greasy film on my scalp which created several pimples that bordered my hair line! It looked like a polka dot hair band! My hair was in a greasy state, and pimples were its capital!!!
For a shampoo called Moist Sunflower and Apricot, it certainly was none of the above. It made my hair dry and frizzy. I also lost a lot more of it in the shower than usual. As for the scent, it wasn't bad, but barely noticeable. I have tried many shampoos, but the only one I've ever bought that was worse than this (Freeman) cost 1/3 as much. It was a waste of money. Not recommended.
This is my all-time favorite smelling shampoo! The only problem is that the matching scented conditioner is expensive and only comes in a tube, which is smaller than the shampoo. I usually use more conditioner, if anything!
