I stopped having manicures when I began swimming; running this stick under scrubbed nails leaves your nails looking clean and mimics an American manicure. Soaking the stick before using gives the best application; I keep extra sticks in my purse, car, and gym bag to use anytime for a neat and clean look.

The tip of the pencil broke off the first time I used it, so I had to sharpen it. It whitens the finger tip as well and must be wiped off.

I used to use a pencil whitener under the tips of my nails long ago, WAY before French Manicures became vogue. I'm not sure why, but I fell out of the habit. I was very happy to come across this! Priced right, it works amazingly well with Essie "Mademoiselle" and "Sugar Daddy" polishes for a subtle French effect that even the most uncoordinated (such as myself) can successfully apply.

Love these nail pencils. I don't have the time to polish and keep the tips fresh. I use my hands too much. I now just use this pencil and a nail buffer. People admire my nails and they never chip. With regular daily use, they look good all the time.
