I have used these strips on my bikini area with good results. I wave the strips above a candle flame for a few seconds to warm them up before I peel them apart. They normally work fairly well if you pull the strip off quickly and don't chicken out before you yank. However if the hair is cut too short the wax will sometimes not grab it, so I don't know how well it would work on short leg hairs. Also I hate the sticky residue it leaves. The oil works well to take it off, but then you are all oily instead of sticky. Still it's cheaper and more private than going to a professional, with satisfactory results

First off. Rubbing these between your hands isnt usually enough - when you pull them apart they will just be stringy. Use a hair dryer for a few seconds up close, that will get it to a nice temperature.

These worked great on my fine upper lip hair! But didn't work well on my bikini line. I guess the hair is anchored too much, given that it is more coarse so the strips pulled about 10% of the hairs it covered. Then I would try again, get a few more hairs and it would leave the hairs that were still there all sticky and my skin was very irretated.

so basically, good for thinner hair, not as great for thicker hair like pubic hair.

(try nair salon divine no strip wax)

Comments about Sally Hansen Hair Remover Wax Strips, 30 ea:

I agree with previous reviewers about using a hair dryer to heat the strips to be effective, and about taking tylenol to minimize the pain. It takes practice to get it right. The bigger strips (3 double sided) worked well on my underarms, but the smaller strips (12 double sided) are so skinny that I can only use them for face but they caused breakouts, and they are not worth the money. Also, new hair started to grow after just several days. When I started my second box, however, the strips left most hair on my underarms probably because there were not much wax on the strips. I'm switching to microwave formula to give it a try.

TIP: USE A BLOW DRYER TO HEAT IT UP!

Comments about Sally Hansen Hair Remover Wax Strips, 30 ea:

This stuff works great on hair that isn't too thick. Rubbing it in your hands doesn't heat up the wax well enough though, and I've found, through experimentation, that applying a blow dryer to the strip before you peel it apart makes a WORLD of difference. The first couple times I used it, my hair was thick and the strips weren't hot enough (I followed the directions and used my hands)- hardly any hair was removed. But after a couple of trys, it gets results almost as good as salons ( I'd say about 95% of the hair is gone). This stuff takes practice, but it's a hell of a lot cheaper than going to a professional. It's worth it...

Comments about Sally Hansen Hair Remover Wax Strips, 30 ea:

-you won't be happy if you compare this with salon waxing.
-those of you who have said you had no luck with the strips even after putting them, for example, in the microwave-the strips probably worked less because you did this-the wax was probably too heated, and just stuck to your hair.
-also if you've never waxed before, your hair is probably deeply rooted and course-after waxing a few times-the hair comes out much easier, as the roots will be less developed, and the hair does grow in finer
-if your hair is too short, they won't work, if your hair is too long they won't work-hair should be between 1/2 and 3/4 of an inch (this is stated in the directions somewhere)
-also, if you pull strip of and hairs stays in just covered in wax-just pull it out manually-the wax will work in this way to produce desired results

Comments about Sally Hansen Hair Remover Wax Strips, 30 ea:

This was definitely easy to use and fast, but it hurt so bad that it isn't worth it. This is probably the equivalent of using duct tape to rip out unwanted hair. I think it almost took a few layers of skin off. It also left several hairs so you'd be doing the same area more that once which for me was unbearable. It can get a little messy with the leftover wax but the moisturizer that came with it took it right off without a problem. If you're looking for something cheap and quick, this is a good option. If you're looking for something less painful I'd say look elsewhere.

thought this would be good in between salon waxes. It did grab the hairs by the root but only got about 10% of them. I couldn't go over the same strip of skin 10x, so I gave up and threw it away. Life's too short.

these wax strips require a lot of practice to get the job done correctly! but the result is smooth skin that lasts about two weeks, so it's worth it.

Comments about Sally Hansen Hair Remover Wax Strips, 30 ea:

First off, never expect fabulous result from pre-waxed strips, they just don`t work as well as normal, "messy" waxing. Pre waxed strips often miss a few hairs or break some hairs off below the skin without pulling them out all the way. These strips are no better or worse than any others. I use themse on small areas only, when I`m traveling and between waxing with hot wax. They have a better value than some other brands, and work just as well. You have to hold them for a while to warm them.
NOTE: USE THE INCLUDED SKIN OIL AFTERWARDS AND YOU WON`T BE LEFT WITH A STICKY MESS!!!

Comments about Sally Hansen Hair Remover Wax Strips, 30 ea:

I have used home waxing quite a lot becuase I can't afford to go to the salon each time, and my hair grows pretty fast. I'm not a fan of shaving. I use this inbetween traditional waxes and even then it doesn't work. I rub the strip between my palsm for a couple of minutes (if that isn't enough, they shouldn't call it non-heat wax) and use it on my skin. It grabs major hair, but one use I have to throw it away, even if it seems sticky it doesn't pull off hair anymore. I feel like I need to use about 10 packets of the measly 'body' strips for my legs alone. sheesh, can't they make strips for the body bigger?
