I am a big fan of Sally Hansen's products as well as NutraNail. I bought this hardener as it was on sale. Boy was I sorry I did..

First, you need to shake the contents.. I thought.. what the heck?? Why would I need to shake anything!!

Secondly the applicator brush is teeny tiny so you you would need to apply X3 to cover the entire nail.

Third, it took minimum 15 minutes to dry and was on soooo thin that I could just peel it off.

The hardener is bogus.. It does nothing... It did not harden my nails.. All it did do was waste my time and momey. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!

I have been using Hard as Nails for years. It lasted long on my nails and looked good. Now the product is inferior. The polish peals within two days and becomes dull. I will not buy this anymore.

I've been using this stuff since I was 14. I have weak nails to due a vitamin deficiency, and this helps keep them in decent shape. This nail polish, however, doesn't last very long. I find it chipping the day after I paint - sometimes even the same day. I think I'll try experimenting with some other Sally Hansen products for a while.

I think this is a great product. I like how it protects ones nails, however it is a little glossier than I like. I don't generally wear anything on my nails, so I prefer a more natural look. This is natural because it is clear, but is still a little glossy. However, I don't think it is quite as glossy as regular clear nail polish. Overall, I think it is a great product for people that have weaker nails (like me).

I hoped this product would help cover the small cracks and splits at the tips of my nails.Followed directions. It was disappointing from the start in that I had to apply every single day and sometimes even twice per day. It wore off so quickly that I gave up using it after a one week trial. Gave it to a firend to see if they had better luck and they told me they had similar poor results. I should mention that I started off with trimmed, short nails that were clean and oil or lotion free. This is a product I will not purchase nor recommend.

I use this as a coat on my nails to keep them nice looking and to keep them strong so they will grow. However, the polish itself is not as vicous as I would like and it is easy to have a messy drip. Also seems to dry slow.

This has probably been on the market longer than I have been alive but it really is a great basic product. I use it as a base coat and prefer it to many of the more expensive specially designed products out there. If you are looking purely for a nail strengthener or for a moisturizing or ridge-filling basecoat, there are better products on th market. But for the price, I think it is one of the best basic base coats available. And I find many of the Sally Hansen nail products as good or better than more expensive salon brands

Tried this hoping to strengthen my nails and give them some protection so they can grow. While it did give my nails more strength when applied, it was no more than I would expect from having several coats of any nail polish on. The product is not long lasting, figure you will reapply twice a week for normal use. This I could live with, except it discolored my nails a nasty yellow color. Nothing took the color out either, it had to grow out. There are better products on the market to waste time on this....

A basic clear base or top coat, or to wear without colored polish. If you want to extend your manicure esp with dark or red polish, try Sally Hansen Mega Shine for shine and protection, or try my #1 fave Sally Hansen Hard As Wraps! Hard As Wraps is thicker than Hard As Nails, prevents or decreases chips on tips of nails, and is much more shiny than this product.

Hardener plus polish seems to make too thick a coat. Peels off quickly. Especially the tips where I need the most protection.
