This is great for drawing flowers, etc. on my pedicure. But it really is no good for french manicures. Essentially, you can't put it on a bare nail and have to wait for the coat beneath to dry COMPLETELY before application unless you want this to dry with strange cracks and seams. Plus, you have to wait for this to dry COMPLETELY before putting anything on top of it. So, a french manicure is faster without this.
That being the case, when you are just applying thin lines or dots (for decorations), the cracks and seams aren't an issue. It will stick together better when not in a broad swath. And it dries faster.

Bought this product in hopes of being able to more easily give myself a mani & pedi. It's a good concept and is easier to hold and apply (especially with your non-dominant hand) but it just doesn't compare to nail polish from a bottle.
It comes off so easily. Just one accidental swipe is all it takes to remove it. There's no way you can wear this without a top coat. Sometimes it gets accidentally wiped off before I even have a chance to put a top coat on, and that's when I give up
I've tried using this thing several times. I never liked it. I like Sally Hansen's other nail polish pens (although the polish comes off VERY quickly) but this nail art one doesn't cut it for me, especially not for the price. I'll never buy it again.

This makes French manicures a breeze. Since it's a pen (not a brush), I can easily control the width of the white tip on each finger and toe. Let it dry for a few minutes, and then top with a translucent pink or nude polish for a fast, easy mani/pedi. You do have to pump the pen tip to get the polish to flow at first. It takes literally seconds, so it's not an inconvenience. I tap it on an old magazine until the polish is flowing smoothly, then draw away. Will continue to purchase.

I bought it, used it, and hate it. It takes a while to first get the polish out, and when it finally does, the polish seeps out of the design and it becomes very inky and messy. It is VERY tough to remove as well. I don't know if it's just me or if it's the pen itself, but I would not recommend it to anyone.
Do not apply to bare nail. Apply base coat or polish before use. Allow polish to dry completely. Shake well with cap on. Remove cap. Push pen on hard surface to dispense color. Apply nail art design to nail. Allow to dry. Recap pen firmly after use. Seal nail with your favorite Sally Hansen top coat when your design is complete. Allow to dry completely. Protect work surface while using this product.
