I have very fair skin and this powder was way too light for me. It's almost white and doesn't seem to cover that well. I will try the next darker shade on my next purchase. I also don't like that the compact mirror and applicator are in the bottom part of the compact, so you have to close that part to get to the powder. This is a stupid design, but the compact seems of nice quality.
I really wanted to try the SH Natural Beauty foundation, but I can't find in a shade light enough for my skin. I bought this powder in light and it is a bit too light for my skin, so it would be excellent for someone with very fair skin. I still use it because it is so sheer I can get by with it. The texture is lovely. It does not look powdery on my skin and does not emphasize wrinkles. I highly recommend it.
Tips: Avoid using a lot of powder under the eyes because it will look dry and cakey. Instead, keep eye makeup from smudging off by applying a small amount of powder under the eyes with an eye-shadow brush. This will deliver the perfect amount of powder without getting cakey. Blend on a bit of powder across the eyelids (after foundation) to help eye shadow stay in place.
