I rarely polish my nails because the polish usually starts chipping in a couple of days. Not with these strips. I put them on with no trouble over a week ago, put on a topcoat and they are still going strong! I'm ordering more because my nails look fabulous. I have a wrinkle or two on the first nails I did but then got the hang of it and the rest are perfect. Make sure your cuticles are perfect, swipe your nails one more time with remover and apply. Make sure not to get the strips on your cuticles, nails only. Push edges down well and topcoat. Two weeks of fun, fabulous nails!

The people who are complaining about these do not know what they are doing. Yes, it takes some getting used to when you first apply them. But once you get the hang of it, these nail strips are addicting. I use a clear coat (Seche Vite) on top of them and I get 7 days out of them easily (maybe more, but I like to change them). I am hard on my hands. Washing dishes, kids, work, etc. and they last through all of it. I just wish they were a little cheaper.

I had been coveting the Sally Hansen nail polish strips but always thought it was too pricey for a one time application. When I saw it on sale on drugstore.com, I decided to give it a try. I bought the "laced up" design. I read all the instructions and followed them accordingly. My first issue was that there was not a size that fit my thumb so I went with the closest size up. The instructions tell you to smooth it out on your nail but when I tried to do so, the strip wrinkled all around the edges because my nail is curved, not flat. The instructions also said not to stretch it too much or it would warp the design. When I folded it over the edge of my nail, the instructions said to file the edge of the nail until the excess strip came off. This was not easy and it left a jagged edge. It looked TERRIBLE. I tried only one nail and gave up. While the concept is cool, I'm going to "stick" to regular nail polish that is faster to apply and looks way more clean.

This was by fat the worst of Sally Hansen's products. I've tried other salon effects and have had no problems - but these fall RIGHT off. Biggest waste of time & money.

Prep - Push cuticles (very important), buff nails to be uniform (very important, especially if your cuticles had a long way to go!), do 1 swipe of polish remover to get rid of any residue or oils

Application -
*Peel off stickers/backing, then stick the polish/sticker/whatever to your nail. This is harder than it sounds! The polish sticker itself is very floppy, and since you have to position it *just right,* it might take a minute. The floppiness is good, as it allows you to mold and shape the polish to your nail, but it sure makes application hard!
*Use the included wooden cuticle pusher to press the polish onto your nail, and to "cut off" excess bits of polish-sticker around the sides
*Use the included file to cut off the excess polish-sticker at the tip of the nail

Removal - Haven't gotten to this point yet! However, I've read online that removal takes a bit longer than with regular nail polish but is generally the same process, using the same type of nail polish remover.

Overall - it took me a while to get these on, because doing something this precise one-handed is hard! Maybe it's just me? It might be a bit easier with a friend. The end product looks awesome! It's unquestionably better than anything I'd be capable of on my own. I definitely will continue to use these.

I was introduced to this product by a friend who could not stop raving at how easy it was to apply (and I can attest to how great her nails looked)Well, I finally got around to trying them, and I was amazed at how easy they were to apply and how perfectly polished my hands looked. It took me 5 minutes to do each hand. Any excess easy comes off with the orange stick and your own friction (just rub one finger over the other nail and the warmth of your hand helps the polish adhere). I cannot tell you how many times people stop me in NYC to ask about where I got my manicure. Even at my nail salon, where I go to get my feet done, they were blown away!I love this product. Please make more colors and patterns. I am going to stock up!

These sound great, but are difficult to apply one handed. Getting a friend to help would make applying them much easier.

Since they are not liquid, you don't have to worry about smudging the shine, but they do take a little while to really adhere well to nails, and until they are "dry" have a tendency to lift up around the edges.

Once they are on and "dry" they do last a long time, and protect nails. They remove easily with regular nail polish remover, similar to a manicure with several coats of polish.
