I apply the gel to my cuticles every night. Allow to dry/set up a little and then rub nearly-dry gel into cuticles. It's not greasy or oily, and stays on all night. Doesn't rub off onto pillow or sheets. I noticed a huge difference after the first night! I work in an office and handle paper all day; very dryng to cuticles and hands.
