I bought this spray after reading all the positive reviews here. I have fine, straight hair and after washing it with a volumizing shampoo and conditioner, I used this spray hoping for extra volume. To my disppointment, not only I did not get the desired volume, my hair was unruly and difficult to style.

I am 64, have always had fine hair but it is thinning now. I have tried a lot of products to create some volume and this is the best I have found. I am on my umpteenth bottle!

This really does what it claims. Helps to view the video on the sally hershberger website. Gives my fine hair lift that lasts all day. Smells utterly yummy.

I have long, straight, fine hair but a lot of it, and over the years have tried a lot of root lifters. Phytovolume worked but smelled liked straight alcohol, and dried hair like it was! This stuff has amazing lift. I used it on my wedding day, before I pulled my hair back, to get that "bump" at the crown (notoriously flat for me) and it worked like a charm. Spray on damp hair and then blow dry. A cool shot of air really locks it in. I see that lots of people like the smell but I think it's kind of like laundry detergent, strong and soapy. Not my fave but worth it--it really works.

I spray this on after shampoo & then use a regular styling gel. I can tell the difference in the way my hair feels after it is dry. I think the smell is a little odd. That's my only "con".

If you have thin straight hair don't bother and the scent is offensive.

I've tried many different root lifters with just so so results, so I was skeptical to try again. But this product actually works! Just a few spritzes to the roots before blow drying and I was truly amazed at the va-voom volume. Not sticky, leaves hair soft to the touch and beautifully full all day long. Smells good too. I'll be back for more!
