This stuff saves me so much time because I don't have to wash my hair every day. I have long hair and that can take me upwards to 45 minutes to wash and dry. I can now go a whole week without washing and just touching up my oily roots. The scent isn't horrific, but it isn't the greatest neither. But for what is does, I will tolerate it!

I have been using this for almost 2 years now and keep it in my travel bag. I recently had the clogging issue and someone posted the running under the water technique, which did not work for me.

To fix a clog: use a quilting pin or straight pin and insert it directly into the tip or top where aerosol comes out. Remove the tip and insert pin into the bottom of the cap where aerosol will go through (again on the same removed cap). Try moving pin around so it dislodges any dried up powder. Then lastly on the can itself, the fine tubing sticking up from the can, run the pin around in there to try to dislodge and dried up powder. By doing this you should have a clean, strong spray again.

Not sure why it does this, maybe needs to be shaken up well so it doesn't clump up or maybe some of the product is older? Who knows, but at least you can finish up the can without letting it go to waste.

Please NEVER stop carrying this product in Brunette!!!

I am extremely picky about giving 5 stars but this is by far the very best dry shampoo I've ever used (and I've used everything from the pricey ones like Ojon to plain baby powder). After trying over 7 different Dry Shampoos, I repeatedly return to this one. I have dark brown hair and the Brunette works perfectly. I just darkened my hair and may try the new Black shade but even now the Brunette shade works very, very well. I've used this for 2 years and have ordered more than a dozen of these (not because they run out quickly, in fact they last a very long time) - it's really because I'm so dependent on this product that I like to have one in multiple suitcases and travel bags.

I have black hair and used this product because it was cheaper than Bumble & Bumble's black Hair Powder. This product (Salon Grafix) spray hair powder TURNED MY HAIR WHITE! I bought it to add volume to my roots and instead it made me look like an old lady with white hair!!! WHAT A WASTE OF MONEY! B&B may be 4x the price, but it does what it says it does! DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT UNLESS YOU WANT WHITE HAIR!!!!

I've used both this product and Bumble and bumble. yes, Bumble and bumble is superior but far too expensive to warrant purchasing anymore. I 've used this type of product to cover thin areas on the top of my head for about two years now and I think they work better for that purpose than to spray allover for actual cleansing. I am able to go for about four days without needing to wash my hair, and the stuff does stain the scalp a little, but I figure I'm going to cover the same spot anyway so it doesn't matter. I had one can that had a defective nozzle, but two that didn't. I use the black which is indeed more gray than black, and then I put a spray of the "Garnier brilliantine shine glossing spray" over it to make the area black and shiny to match my hair.

THE GOOD: I have very dark brown hair, and the brunette shade is too light for me. It looks black to me, not gray. It blends well with my hair after brushing it out, it looks like I just washed my hair. I can go for days without washing my hair using this product. It's fast, easy, and the bad smell is not terribly strong.

THE BAD: I was only able to use this shade twice before the can simply stopped working. This is the first time this has happened to me, but reading other reviews I can see it is a problem. Other than that issue, the reviews with drama-filled stories about how bad this stuff is must not have followed the instructions, and don't understand how to use dry shampoo. YOU MUST READ AND FOLLOW THE DIRECTIONS!

Their dry shampoo is a colored powder spray, with colors for blonde, brunette and black hair. Four hours after spraying the product on my roots, I was in the shower, squirting palmful after palmful of traditional shampoo into my hair and sudsing like a crazy woman to get all of it out.

What I didn't like about it
First of all, it's stinky. I started with the bathroom door closed, but after about ten quick bursts I couldn't stand it anymore and had to run outside to get some air. It smelled exactly like the girl's junior high bathroom circa 1988, when breaktime meant that you ran to the bathroom to stake your place in front of the mirror so that you could spray the hell out of your bangs with your ever-present can of Aqua Net hair spray along with twenty other girls.

This product is also really messy. After I finished putting it on and waited for two minutes for the powder to settle, I realized that there was soon a fine layer of black powder on my forehead and face … and on everything else in the bathroom. It was all over the sink, on the floor, on the rim of the tub (later, when I was furiously trying to shampoo it all out I realized that somehow a layer also got into the tub). So gross.

It got even more disgusting when I brushed the powder through from the roots to the ends – huge, black flakes of product started falling into the sink.

I pulled my once beautiful blowout into a ponytail and hoped to god that I didn't sweat for the rest of the day, because the last thing I needed was a trail of black, inky sweat running down the sides of my face.

The rest of the day was spent in misery. The 80s Aqua Net smell didn't dissipate and once or twice I absent mindedly scratched at my scalp and ended up with black goo underneath my fingernails. Blech.

But then I remembered that I willingly sprayed black powder onto my hair, and that somewhere along the way I should've realize that this was probably a BAD IDEA!

What I liked about it
Although there were many things that I didn't like about this product, I can at least say that it partially did what it said it would do – it cut down the oily look of my roots and gave my flat blowout some lift.

The final word
Ewww. This is a complete waste, and I'm not going to buy it again. Also use it in a well-ventilated space that you plan on cleaning because you are guaranteed to get a MESS all over the place.

I tried to use this product to cover some thinning areas but when depressing the spray button the product literally flew all over my dressing/make up area! I previiously used Bumble Hair powder with no problems so wanted to save some money but it was definately not worth it.

I was looking for a cheaper version of the bumble & bumble black powder that's really pricey, this isn't a good enough option, it comes out looking gray, doesn't spray evenly and is too thick.
