If you are taking hydrocodone or anti-infamatory type drugs? beware...I was getting sicker by the hour and couldn't figure out why? since I hadn't taken another pain pill- read side effects of the patch- can cause bleeding, nausea etc. Too much nsaid in my body!

I use these little patches when I have muscle spasms and tension in my neck and shoulder. The camphor or menthol slowly seeps into the muscle area and provides soothing temporary relief. It will not heal anything, but lasts longer than putting smelly BenGay, etc. on your skin.

One thing that should be changed is that once you open the package, the patches lose some of their "power". I put them into a ziploc plastic bag to keep them fresh. They should come with a resealable pouch.

I have suffered from arthritis since I was a teenager and this is the first time I have found a product that offers some fast relief easily. When I feel achy or my hands are feeling swollen or weak, I pop on a patch on my wrist and within minutes can move my hand easier. I use them on my neck, my knees, hands and even my spine. I have nothing but good to say about these very easy to use patches and am very glad I stumbled on them; they do make life a bit easier!

I am 58 and have had arthritis since I was 17; have a tough job on my feet all day working with children. I usually have a regimen of Ascriptin and Excedrin (aspirin-free) to control my pain and swelling, but since discovering the Salonpas patch I have had to use less. I have a skin problem where I get rashes very easily and don't heal well so the only thing with the patch is finding the spots on my body that might be irritated by it..so far found 3 so can't use them there; otherwise, I highly recommend this patch to anyone looking for relief without taking another pill or using a "stinky" cream. The odor is nice and the warmth it gives in a very short time is lovely. I use the patches on a daily basis but no more than 2-3 at a time so pick your "hot spot" of the day and pop that patch on. I have had great relief on my knees, wrists, spine and nape of my neck. I have not tried for headache/congestion so can't say how it would work. I also have used them on my feet and ankles. If allergic to adhesive or have sensitive skin, as I do, weigh the pros and cons. I deal with the rashes with my lotions so that I can feel the relief the patch brings and the ease of movement for my long days.

I usually used this product to help relieve muscle aches. Recently, I used it when I was traveling. I hit my pinky toe hard on my suitcase and yes, it hurt a little but I ignored it. The next morning, it was swollen and bruised and it just got worse throughout the day as I was walking a lot during that trip.

I had some Salonpas in my bag so I read the uses for it and it said for bruises as well so I cut the Salonpas in half and wrapped it around my pinky toe before I went to sleep. The next day, the bruise was nearly gone and it wasn't painful for me to apply pressure on my toe. I wrapped a new strip on my pinky tour before I started the day and I had no pain the rest of the time.

Yes, I'm a true believer in this stuff now!

I have RSD / CRPS, a chronic pain condition and I've had two back surgeries so pain is part of my life. As a result so are heavy duty pain meds.
When I saw these pain patches I thought, "What harm could they do?". But amazingly they actually help.
I use them on my RSD nerve pain and it gives me some relief, not much but any little bit helps when you have RSD.
I also use them on my back at night and find I wake up without back pain, and that's a big help.
I don't know how they work, but they do, plus they have helped me reduce my pain meds, not by much but enough to make me keep using Salonpas and I recommend that anyone in pain gives them a try.
