Indications
Uses Relieves cold & flu Symptoms, provides relief from respiratory symptoms such as sneezing, runny nose, nasal & sinus congestion, minor sore throat and headache, also relieves fever, chills, and body aches associated with the flu
Warnings
Sore Throat Warning - Severe or persistent sore throat accompanied by high fever, headache, nausea or vomiting may be serious. Consult doctor promptly. Do not use product for the temporary relief of sore throat for more than 2 days unless directed by doctor. If sore throat is severe, persists for more than two days, is accompanied or followed by fever, headache, rash, nausea or vomiting, consult a physician promptly.
Stop use and ask a doctor if: Symptoms worsen, any new symptoms appear, fever lasts for more than three days, respiratory symptoms persist for more than seven days.
If pregnant or breast feeding, ask a health professional before using.
Keep out of the reach of children, In case of overdose, get medical help or contact a Poison Control Center right away.
Children under 4: Consult a doctor before use.

We have four children and were tired of running to the doctor because the kids colds always seemed to turn into sinus infections. We heard about Sambucol and initially bought the syrup. Kids did not like the taste! We came across these tablets that you let dissolve on your tongue and what a dream come true. No bad taste, works like it promises. You do have to start them as soon you feel a cold coming on, they seem more effective that way. If you take them as directed, once every 3 hours, you will be rid of your cold in a day or two and they do not make you drowsy which is great for the kids. My husband has high blood pressure and these are great with that as well because he can still take his BP medicine and not worry about side effects with the Sambucol. We have bought a few boxes of this product just in the past few weeks with all of the nasty stuff going around and it is a blessing. I would say the only con is that there are only 30 in the box so, if a few members in a household are ill and taking this, it goes quickly.

Manufacturer recomends taking this product at the beginning of a cold. By the time I ordered and received this product, my cold was already full blown. I didn't notice any good results. It may or may not have speeded the recovery from a cold, I can't tell. Tiny little pill that has a good flavor for disolving on your tongue. I'll know more if I ever develop cold symptons and be able to take this product earlier.

Dissolves fast and easily on or under tongue. Good tasting, kids don't mind taking. If you follow the instructions to take at the first sign of a cold or flu every 15mins for the first 2 hours and then every 3 hours it really works. I am always looking for effective homeopathic medicine and found it in this one for colds and flu. Works faster and more effective than some of the much more expensive homeopathic brands. Like most homeopathic medicine you need should have it in your medicine cabinet so when you get that itch in the throat or the first sneeze or the first ache in the body you can take at first signs.

This product really works. I was traveling for work and started coming down with a terrible cold. I had a sore throat for two days before buying this right when I got off the plane. Within two doses, it actually relieved almost all my symptoms. I felt much better, and continued with a few more doses the next day until all my congestion and sinus pain was completely relieved. The taste is pleasant, almost like a grape flavor. This is much better than the typical zinc products I normally take.

You need to start taking this the first sign of a cold or flu. If you already have a cold or flu when you start taking it, it might feel like it's not working but your body needs more time to knock out the virus, so keep taking it. By the second day your body kicks in and you are feeling better. Keep taking it and your symptoms will quickly ease up. When we take this at the first sign it fantastic.

I love this product and have used it for myself and 3 kids for over a year now with great success - see my other review regarding how well this product works. Just wanted to note that I strongly believe that it is the elderberry in this that helps with cold symptoms (I take elderberry capsules but my kids can't swallow those so I use Sambucol). I recently found a different product from Now Foods that is elderberry & zinc as well as vitamin C and ecchinacea - same kind of dissolving tablet - comes in a bottle of 90 for around $7. Going to try those.

Sambucol is a lifesaver! I have three school-age children who are forever bringing cold germs home. We started using Sambucol about a year ago and no one in the family has had a full-blown cold during that time. As soon as anyone starts sniffling, they start taking Sambucol and never develop any further cold symptoms. We only take about two per day and that seems to do the trick. Being a family of 5, we do go through these fast since there is only 30 in a box but that would be my only complaint.

Great product,no interactions. Use immediately upon cold symptoms. Can be used for adults and children. Great for runny nose, soar throat, first signs of illness and can be used with other products with no problem.

My husband travels a lot and is subjected to the various ills of airplanes. Whenever he feels a cold or cold-like symptoms coming on, he starts taking these immediately and is able to stop the cold in its tracks. We have found that, if the cold has already taken hold, this helps alleviate the symptoms and shortens the duration. Because you need to take one tablet every three hours, a box doesn't go very far if more than one person is sick.
