Compared to all the other products I've used on minor scars -- Kelo-Cote; Scar Guard; Scar Away -- Scar Fx still gets the best results in terms of flattening keloid scars and fading their color. It has definite drawbacks: it picks up lint and other dirt fast; requires frequent washing as a result (and I've lost two already after washing them since they're sometimes hard to see), and can move around on difficult areas such as the neck, plus its price is high. But I keep coming back to it because I definitely see the best results time and time again.

Excellent for new or older scars. Because of the cost I try to use a small of a piece as possible & it helps to use medical tape over the patch to hold it on (especially in humid climates) My Skin Cancer / Cosmetics / Plastics Doctor recommended it & of all the products I have tried, this is the only 1 that works.

I was shocked to discover there was only 1 peice in the box for [$] and it is messy with kind of an oily residue. The gel picks up dirt and lint you cannot get off..then what? They don't wash off well so it is ruined and there is only one in the box. I have used ScarAway sheets before and you get 12 sheets in the box that each laast a week. You can wash them every day and it comes completely clean and ready for the next application. They give you a case to put it in which is convenient. I thought th ScarFX was the same thing, but not even close. You have to buy 12 Scar fx to the tune of [...] to get the same amount of product that ScarAway gives for [...]..and the ScarAway brand is much higher quality and easy to use....no mess . I will be returning this one for a refund.

I was recommended to use this product by a doctor (I am olive skinned and hyperpigment easily)...it seems to be lightening a bit, but you have to be extremely careful with it...if you have any cream resisdue on your skin before you put it on, it makes the patch gross. It also picks up lint along the edges if you are wearing a lint producing garment...so the edges of mine have black on it...hard to get it off too.

I had a huge rough looking scar from my belly button to lower abdomin area. It had faded and helped heal my scar dramatically.
I would definetly recommend it for any kind of scar

This works to make old dark spots on my face go away. I use it about 3 times a week (when I sleep alone). My skin looks amazing.

This product is a patch that is to be used to promote the healing of scars. The first thing I found out that was in order to use it, I was going to have to purchase some sort of adhesive tape to get it to stick. This thing cost enough to contain all that was required to make it work. I finally threw it out without using it.

I had a dime-size, hard, red, and itchy bump on my upper arm. I went to a dermatologist, who tried in vain to freeze it off. She said that it was some sort of granuloma - from a reaction to a bug bite or irritation - and that it should eventually get better(although sometimes it takes years), but I would likely still have a small scar. I purchased both the Scar Fx Cream and the Scar Fx Silicon Sheeting. I apply the cream a couple times a day and wear the scar sheet at night. I have to wrap my arm with an Ace bandage to keep the sheeting on, but it does work. At first, I tried using first aid adhesive bandages to keep it on, but the tape gave me a rash. After only three days of use the mark was less red and much flatter and it continues to improve. The cream has also helped with the itching. Now I barely notice it's there.

The box contains a very small sheet of the product. There are other manufactures who sell similar products for less money. I would not buy this again, ever.

In June of 2008 I had my first (and hopefully last) bout with shingles. The virus caused blisters and lesions, or dermanomes, from my chestbone, across one breast, under my arm, and around to the middle of my left back.

The episode left me with very little permanent nerve damage, but some un-lovely calling cards in the form of hideous scars, some red and ruby, and raised. I'm just 48, and I did not want to go through life with these scars, so I read up on potential OTC therapies. A few years back I'd purchased a box of Curad scar therapy silicone sheets, but unfortunately these are no longer available.

Found Scar FX here, at drugstore.com, and have ben using for a couple of weeks. I'm seeing an immediate reduction of my scars. Further, the strip--which I cut into several pieces as my scars are more like irregularly shaped polka dots on my chest and back--has excellent sticking power. I put a single strip of 1/4" bandage tape I get in a tape dispenser over each strip to offer added adhesion.

These are also reusable--you wear them for a day or so, or less, take them of for your shower, rinse the strips to clean them, and slap 'em back on.

Will definitely be purchasing another box as back-up.
