I am scared of scars! So with my previous c-section, I have used most c-section scar products available on the market: creams, lotions, waist bands,... but I still ended up with a horrible keloid scar. With this pregnancy, I tried scaraway for the first time and I love it. I don't use anything else. I am 8 weeks postpartum and my scar is so small and almost invisible. No signs of keloid yet. It was difficult to get use to it in the first week, but I got use to it fast. My tip: every day at about the same time, take of the used sheet and wash it thoroughly with soap and put it on a small towel to dry. Apply the sheet that you've washed the previous day on the scar. Basically, you're switching between 2 sheets. Remember to wash the scar with soap. Otherwise, the silicone won't stick that good. Also, I read somewhere that you can use the silicone sheet until the silicone lining comes off, so for quiet longer than recommended. I use mine for about 2-3 weeks on the c-section scar and put it on the stretch marks until they don't stick anymore. I use the felina shaping boyshort to keep the silicone sheet from peeling off, but other slimming panties would do the same job. Just find one that is comfortable for you to wear and has no bulky seams going over the scar. I notice that the firmer the shaping underwear, the less pain I feel around the wound. Abdomend has helped me alot in easing that pain.

To wash the silicone sheet each day, use a baby cleanser, or one without oils, scents, creams or lotions.
To clean the scar, use a baby wipe.
To dry the sheet, lay flat on double paper towel
with silicone (sticky) side up. Dry outer fabric side with paper towel if needed.

This is my third week of using this product and I am alreay starting to see a difference. I use as per the instructions, and remove when I work out and for showering, sauna etc. I have a long scar in my abdominal area that is raised and discolered and will be ordering this product again.

ScarAway has worked very well on a few scars for me (I tend to get keloids and thick scars on almost every nick an cut).. It really helps break down the scar tissue, heal it up well and fade the color. I also gets rid of the hard feeling of the scar tissue. Easy to put on and comes off without hurting. Thin and inconspicous on the skin. I tried other brands that were really expensive and too thick with a weird patterning on the gel which called attention to the scars which was not what I wanted. I bought the first ScarAway at a store and reordered online..interesting, the box is different online and in stores and it comes in a 2 month or a 12 week supply box, but the one I used called is ScarAway professional grade silicone scar sheets and are different low prices depending on which count you buy and they both come with a case to keep it in which the other brand did not either. So a great deal for a high quality product.

I attempted to use this product on my arms after brachioplasty. These pads could not tolerate the activity associated with the arms such as bending, etc. Generally within 1 day - I had to start taping the fabrics on because they would no longer stick. I most definitely followed the instructions perfectly also. I have also been using them on a smaller scar on my back and they have worked fine there.

I used it 2 months after my c-section. At that time, the scar is 'healed' but it was red and bumpy. I cut each piece into 2 halves length-wise and used them continuously till I ran out. At the end of the usage, I can clearly tell that the scar has improved. One end of the scar is now completely flat and barely red at all. The rest of the scar is still red but much lighter and less bumpy. I think overall I enjoyed using this product mostly because it is such a comfort to have something covering the scar during the initial months after the c-section. The scar did not scratch against my clothes and itch. I would recommend this product to my friends.
