i bought this because i am having a hard time finding a razor that doesn't leave my legs irritated and stubbly after shaving. it has been just recently (in my mid-40s) that my legs are less tolerant to shaving (or waxing for that matter). this razor is great for sensitive skin but it leaves stubbles. it doesn't get all the hair. caveat: i shave in the direction of the hair to reduce irritation. all in all, it is better than all others i have tried including the Venus.

I have never written a product review before but I am going to for the Schick Quattro. I have been shaving for 25 years. The Schick Quattro is the most expensive and, honestly, the worst razor I've ever purchased or used.

The Schick Quattro has 4 blades, and yet the least close shave I've ever gotten, aside from those 10 for 59 cents plastic razors you sometimes get stuck buying on vacation.

Shaving shouldn't take a lot of thought, or a lot of time. With my usual razors I lather up, and swish swish swish swish swish -- one leg done; tap tap clean razor; swish swish swish swish swish -- other leg done; tap tap clean razor; one-two-three underarm done; one-two-three other underarm done; maybe 7-8 strokes each side of bikini and... SCENE (we're done).

With the Schick Quattro it's necessary to go over and over and over and over and over and over your legs. It's not necessary to have some fancy NASA engineered head that swivels and arches and does a little shaving dance for you. What value does that add? Shaving's just not that complicated. Or interesting. Or fun. But the Schick Quattro sure makes it complicated. But not at all interesting or fun.

The blades of the Schick Quattro are just too many--are packed too closely together--and they just do NOT shave the hair. That's their job!

Furthermore, it's impossible to clean the the Schick Quattro razor between swipes. Most of us shave in the shower. To clean the razor you tap it against the tub, shower, floor, or wall, and the hairs fall out. With the Schick Quattro, you do that and the head pops off and goes flying across the tub. AND to add insult to injury, doing that doesn't even get the hair/stubble out. So you have to repeat again and again and again---tap tap - head flies off - find it - put it back on - still hair in there - tap tap again - head flies off. Maybe some people are willing to turn off the shower in the middle of the shower and make the tub water run as hard as it can, and hopefully that will force the hairs out, and then turn the shower back on and shave a little more, then turn off the shower and run it under the tub, then turn back the shower---but I know I'm not.

So, you think you've finally succeeded in shaving off most of your hair, but you better check again. And holy smokes - what's this? still more bristles and stubble (this is after already taking 3 times longer than with a normal razor to get that far!) Now it requires at least 3-4 more strokes to get remaining hair off.

That is for underarms and legs. Bikini? Makes me wonder--despite all Schick Quattro's goofy patronizing pseudo-feminine rhetoric--whether they want women to loathe themselves, their bodies, and the need for shaving? For bikini it took 94 strokes with the Schick Quattro to get ride of all the hair on one side, and 88 strokes on the other!! What the heck is that about?

Perhaps Schick thinks if women spend so much time with the Schick Quattro we'll bond with it? Customer bonding may be a reality with, say, an iPhone or a web site (tho not this one, where some Katy Perry, but the reality is: women want to spend the least amount of time with their razor as necessary. We have an agreement with your razor: it does its job, and we get this over quickly and efficiently, don't cut me, and I'll treat you well to increase your shelf-life. The End. It shouldn't be more complicated than that.

As said, I have never written a review for any product, but did so because the Schick Quattro was so expensive and so egregiously awful.

Comments about Schick Quattro For Women Razor with 2 Refill Cartridges, 1 ea:

I'm a longtime Venus user, but I just had to try Schick Quattro. The price on the refills is much more reasonable for one thing, and for another the profile of the razor looks more feminine. It's got a classy retro 1940's vibe to the shape, and a sassy 1980's color scheme. So, I tried it out. The razor head is much more flexible than the Venus, and instead of an obnoxious soap bar it's got a moisture bar. The Quattro is the perfect underarm shaver. It's great in any sensitive area where you need the head to pivot easily, and where you need it to be relatively small. That size and flexibility advantage that works so well on the tender spots is a disadvantage on the larger plains of the legs, though. For the legs Venus still reigns supreme and will continue to hold a spot in my shower. A spot alongside the Schick Quattro.

This razor is good for women's legs as it gets to all the nooks and crannies. The handle is too small to grip with wet, soapy hands though

Have used this razor for 5 yrs and love it. Used to buy a new one every year when pink and teal colors were available. Now only purple available and who has a purple bathroom! Emailed and called drugstore.com to see if the pink color shown was available and was told if it does not say colors vary it will be pink. So I ordered two - and I got two purple. Threw them away because too much hassle to return. Will not order anymore. Great product but cannot choose color.

I've been using this razor for years now because it WORKS.
I succumb once in a while to the cheapy 6 razors for $2.99 thinking, "WOW, what a bargain!" Only to be left with irritated skin, bumps, and pimples all over my legs and underarms.
Yes, these are expensive razors. I agree.
Save on shaving cream, a better trick for smooth shaving I've found is using hair CONDITIONER to prevent all that irritation.

Dry your razor well, post-shower, and store somewhere humidity-free to lengthen its life a bit. If you suffer from cheap-razor-bumpitis like I do, go with the Schick Quattro.

I bought this because it said it came with two refill cartridges. When I opened the package today, there was one on the razor plus one refill cartridge. This is deceptive packaging because I cannot use the razor without one cartridge, yet the term "refill" suggests that it is in addition to the original razor. I feel ripped off and would not recommend buying the product on principle.

For years i have always ended up with a minor razor burn around my pubic and scrotum after i finish shaving. I have tried all kinds of razors made for men and never ever felt as smooth and clean as i do now since i tried the QUATTRO FOR WOMEN razor. Thank you for a great razor.

I have dark, coarse hair and need to shave every day, especially in the summer. With one swipe of the Shick Quatro, I could tell immediately this was the best and closest shave I have ever had....no stubbles...and that's saying something for my legs. Even the underarms were smoother than I have ever experienced. I shave in the shower and use a body wash, but no shaving cream. I received the Quatro as a complimentary gift with an order of face wash that I purchased on line. I was not asked to write a review, but I just had to share. I went right out and bought a packet.

Schick Quattro for Women Razor With 2 Refill Cartridges

                 – Many women yearn for effortlessly smooth and touchable legs, but this ideal can be difficult to attain. Razor burn, sensitive skin, ingrown hairs, and other issues can cause shaving to be an unpleasant experience. Fortunately, Schick Quattro for Women is a razor specially designed to help women achieve perfectly smooth skin without any hassle.

                Optimal Blade Design

Some women's razors are designed using just one blade, leading to cuts and frustration while trying to get a smooth shave. The Schick Quattro for Women offers four ultra-thin blades, minimizing the amount of time and effort needed to achieve a silky smooth shave. The razor's pivoting head follows the lines of your body as you shave, making it easier to catch any hard-to-reach hairs. The combination of the optimal blade technology by Schick and the pivoting head razor help to keep your skin healthy and optimally smooth.

                Comfort While Shaving

Blade technology is not the only factor in achieving a close and even shave. It is important to have a razor that feels good in your hand, allowing you to enjoy the shaving process. The Schick Quattro for Women has a soft rubber handle, making for a more comfortable shave. The razor is also designed to improve your grip, providing an easy and even shave.

                Convenience in the Shower

For some people, storing your razor can be a challenge. Whether you live alone or share your shower space with others, it is ideal to keep your razor stowed away to avoid injury. This razor pack comes with a specially designed shower hanger. This ensures that your razor is conveniently located when you need it but safely out of your way when not in use.
