I LOVE this razor. It is so much less expensive than other razors. My blades always last longer than other razors. I used to use the Quattro and before that a 3 bladed razor. I would always get cuts and never had a close shave. This razor gives me the closest shave I've ever had with a razor. I love that Schick seems to be revamping them a little. I just bought a new version with a different design on it. The head DOES tilt, if your head isn't tilting then you have the razor head on wrong. I only cut myself with this one if I'm being dumb and slide the razor sideways over my skin.

I had used this razor for years and then couldn't find it or the blades in local stores any longer. Thrilled when I found it again on line.
The difference is the thin wire that covers the blade. But don't be fooled. It still gives silky smooth legs without the irritation I got from other ladies razors. Schick, please don't give up on Silk Effects! It is truly different from otherwomens razors.

the product is amazing, it does a great job without getting cuts or razor burn. the reason why im giving it 4 stars is because its just a bit expensive because u need to change the razor often.

I've been using the silk effects for about 14 years and would be lost if they took it off the market. I have not cut myself shaving in many years because of this razor. It is close enough of a shave for me, for legs & underarms.

This razor does not have a flexible head, so shaving contours doesn't really work.

I've been using the silk effects for about 10 years and would be upset if they took it off the market. I love the security of knowing the guard wires are there to make me less likely to nick myself. It is possible to cut yourself with this razor, but unlikely. I like the shape of the handle. My only complaint about this razor is that the handle can't be cleaned inside. I live in an area where mold grows easily.

It wasn't my closest shave ever, but no nicks or cuts. All-in-all a good product for the price.
