I have medium thick, wavy hair that is about four inches below my shoulders. I have used the largest Octopus clips for a long time. The Maxi does not hold as much hair. I do the quick French twist, tuck in the ends. This clip cannot hold that amount of hair with the teeth touching the scalp, ensuring a tight hold. It will hold the hair though all day when styled this way, but the twist kinda hangs a bit down the back of my head. Using a couple of large bobby pins helps ensure all day hold. And comfy if you rest your head back-the teeth do not hurt your scalp.

I bought the Midi Linzi Clip at my local [...]. I loved it, but it was just a little too small. I was unable to find the Maxi Linzi Clip locally, so I ordered from drugstore.com. The Linzi clip is easy to use, holds my hair all day and is comfortable (no "stab in the head" when I lay my head against my car seat, or sit on the couch). Love these Linzi clips! My only complaint: the Midi is a tad too small, but the Maxi is a tad too large. Would like to see a size in between.
