These ponytail holders are fantastic for people with long, thick hair. I have a LOT of hair - it's like a lion's mane - and these are strong enough to hold it in a ponytail while I work out. When I take them out, they don't yank half my hair out with them. I rarely have to double-wrap my hair when I use one of these.

I purchased these pony tails for my daughters to wear to school. Well, only two weeks into the school year and almost half of them had broken. I, knowing how kids can be, thought that the girls were overstreaching them and told them to be careful. Well, I started doing their hair and sure enough they break in half at the very least resistance. I cannot think of any other pony tails ever doing this! I wrote to the company, explained the situation and they sent me another pack (very nice of them). However, here it is a month later and most of them have broken as well. Crazy! So, only buy this product if you want throw away ponytails because that is what you are getting. They need to work on quality control here.
