I recently found out the secret to great skin is to treat it effectively but GENTLY! My cleanser has beta hydroxy (salicylic acid) so I don't use a toner with salicylic acid in it-- I use this stuff. The smell is a bit overwhelming but definitely worth it. You really can feel this stuff deep cleaning your skin. It is gentle on your dry spots and clears out your oily/breakout areas. Great for combination skin, not just sensitive! VS Most Liked Negative Review Well, it doesn't like me, that's certain When I first started developing a skincare regimen, around when I hit puberty, my mom suggested this astringent. She swears by the stuff and has used it since she was thirteen. I have seen it work for her and she has no complaints. I, however, do. Comments about Sea Breeze Fresh-Clean Astringent, Sensitive Skin, 10 fl oz: As anyone who uses this knows, it does have a little issue with being ultra-drying to skin. I personally use the Aveeno product I listed every day and this every second day, so with that moisturizer I don't have a problem with this drying out my skin. Im sure most other daily moisturizing face washes would have the same effect. Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend (1 of 1 customers found this review helpful) Was this review helpful? Comments about Sea Breeze Fresh-Clean Astringent, Sensitive Skin, 10 fl oz: I'm in my early forties and have skin that tends to break out from time to time. I have used a well known acne kit to keep my acne at bay but it was very harsh on my skin. I've found that if I use a gentle cleanser and use Sea breeze afterwards, my skin stays clearer far better than when I used the brand name acne kit. The dirt that comes off when I use sea Breeze is amazing and it's the dirt that has been the culprit in breaking out my skin.Followed with a good moisturizer and I'm good to go. Thank you to drugstore.com for carrying this because it's hard to find in stores. Comments about Sea Breeze Fresh-Clean Astringent, Sensitive Skin, 10 fl oz: There is a BIG difference between this Sea Breeze (note logo & label design)and the old Original Formula Sea Breeze. This touts itself as an acne medication. I used the OLD Sea Breeze for everything. Went on no trip without it. If used immediately it is good for curling iron burns, kitchen burns, insect bites, as an astringent, sunburn relief, etc. Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend (1 of 2 customers found this review helpful) Was this review helpful? Comments about Sea Breeze Fresh-Clean Astringent, Sensitive Skin, 10 fl oz: I've been using Sea Breeze for 20 yrs now. I have combination skin (T-zone) and use this every night at bedtime. Leaves my face feeling clean, fresh, non-greasy. This is not a toner, so I usually will dab cream on my dry spots (around the T-zone) after cleaning with Sea Breeze to moisturize as I sleep. As with many other long-time products I use, Sea Breeze is becoming increasingly harder to find in brick-&-mortar stores. I don't know why but at least DrugStore.com still carries my favorite (& best) astringent.[...] Was this review helpful? Comments about Sea Breeze Fresh-Clean Astringent, Sensitive Skin, 10 fl oz: I have used an astringent to clean my face for years. First ten-0-six and recently Seabreeze because of availability. I have grown even fonder of this product because I love the smell (cloves) and the refreshing feeling it leaves me with. It has not dried out my skin because I always follow it up with a moisturizer. I have never used soap on my face. My eyes are sensitive and I found this method of cleaning my face the best option for keeping irritants away from my eyes. Comments about Sea Breeze Fresh-Clean Astringent, Sensitive Skin, 10 fl oz: Seabreeze is a fairly good astringent skin cleanser, but is too strong & drying for sensitive skin; the BEST astringent skin cleanser I have ever used is TEN-O-SIX, for sensitive skin; but I have trouble finding it anymore for some reason. The best alternative I've found so far is Seabreeze; but it is not nearly as good as TEN-O-SIX. Comments about Sea Breeze Fresh-Clean Astringent, Sensitive Skin, 10 fl oz: Have used Sea Breeze astringent for sensitive skin for several years with good results with my adult acne. I use it between washings, freshen ups. Slight antiseptic smell, but not unpleasant. I appreicate the design and size of the bottle which allows control of the amount of product coming out onto the cottonball while being able to manipulate it with the other hand.
