I have seborrhea of my scalp, and this shampoo completely controls it. It never dries out my scalp, either, although I try not to wash my hair more often than every 2 or 3 days. I like to use products without moisturizers or conditioners because my scalp is very oily, so that's why I like this particular Selsun product. I also have sensitivities to many hair products, so it's very hard to find a shampoo that doesn't cause my scalp to itch. This is the best shampoo that I have found for regular use that cleans my hair well without irritating my scalp. I am so happy that it's available on this site because I can't find it in my local stores anymore.

I have seborrheic dermatis and must use a dandruff shampoo to keep it under control. I have found that Selsun Blue works the best for me. Until recently, I was unaware that this particular formulation existed. My hair is oily and the regular shampoo worked, but didn't do anything to control the oil. I now find that my hair looks better, for longer periods of time. I found the shampoo locally, once, but have been unable to find it since. I found your website on an internet search and was so excited that you carried it. I purchased several bottles so that I could have a good supply. Thank you for offering this product.

I use this product daily and it keeps my hair looking and feeling great. It is hard to find the daily use one in store but drugstore.com has all my hard to find products and @ a great price.

BASICALLY, I HAVE BEEN DEALING WITH SEB DERMATITIS FOR 3 YEARS. NUMEROUS TIMES I HAVE BEEN TO THE DERMATOLOGIST AND THEY HAVE RECOMMENDED ME DIFFERENT SHAMPOOS. THE FIRST SHAMPOO THEY RECOMEENDED WAS NIZORAL. UNFORTUNATLEY AFTER USING IT EVERYOTHER DAY FOR 1 MONTH, I SAW NO APPROVEMEWNT. I THEN TRIED STEROID SHAMPOOS, BUT THEY DID NOT WORK. ALSO NOTE THAT STEOID SHAMPOO REALLY DO NOT ADDRESS THE REAL PROBLEM. THE ONLY SHAMPOO THAT SEEMED TO WORK UP TO THAT POINT WAS T/GEL. IT WORKED BUT IT DID NOT GET RID OF THE FLAKING ALL THE WAY. ONE DAY I TRIED SELSUN BLUE, AND I NOTICED FAST RESULTS. AFTER 4 DAYS, THE SCALING WAS GONE!. THE SELENIUM IN SELSUN BLUE IS HIGHLY TOXIC TO THE FUNGUS. I have had terrible seborrheic dermatitis since my teens. I have perscription medication for flare-ups, but Selsun Blue is the ONLY shampoo that helps control it. If I use it regularly, I have less need for the my oily prescription medication.

I have nice thick wavy hair, but an oily scalp that is prone to developing thick flakes before my hair is even dry. I usually have to wash my hair daily just because my scalp is out-of-control, itchy and painful. This stops all of that. I have no dandruff whatsoever (a miracle for me) and the oiliness is kept at bay. Now I can wash every 2 or 3 days instead. It is a bit harsh on the hair and it has a strong smell, but that fades once you wash it out.

I tried all kinds of different shampoos to control my dandruff - caused by chronic seborrheic dermatitis. This is the one that not only works, but doesn't irritate my skin even with daily use. I not only don't WANT to use any other - I can't!
