I don't like using harsh chemicals in any area of household cleaning, so I feel that this product gets the job done efficiently while staying environmentally conscious. I rated this product as having a "weak function" only because dishes with heavy dried-on stains need to be soaked/pre-washed prior to being put in the dishwasher to ensure optimum cleaning. I think this is standard of any dishwashing detergent, though. All in all, it's a great natural product!
Thought I would try a more natural dishwashing detergent but I was not impressed. Several times the pod got stuck in the plastic compartment or fell to the bottom of the dishwasher. Then I had to throw it away and run dishwasher again with a new pod, thus wasting more energy and water. I gave it 2 stars because when it did work it got my dishes clean. I will switch to Seventh Generation liquid detergent to see if this works better in my dishwasher.
Load Dishwasher - Make sure items can be safely washed in a dishwasher. Silver, aluminum and stainless steel should be washed in separate loads to avoid discoloration. Load items with the soiled surfaces facing the center and keep taller items away from the center of the bottom rack.
Add detergent - Use one pac per load. Do not unwrap or puncture pac. Do not handle pac with wet hands. Place pac in main dispenser cup and close immediately. Re-seal package after use and store in a dry place. For very hard water we recommend using our Rinse Aid.
