When one reads the startling information included on their packages regarding how many trees were saved with each purchase, it more than compensates for the slightly rough texture of the tissues inside. So what if the tissues aren't drenched in chemical softening agents or milled to the texture of satin? Anyone who has a love for trees and the preservation of our earth's eco-system might be able to forfeit a little comfort for the sake of our beautiful planet...myself, included. These tissues do the job...they absorb well and are not too abrasive to gently remove make-up. I'm sold! I cave and buy the soft stuff if we have a cold but for occasional nose blowing, these are fine. I sleep better at night when I use biodegradable/recycled items so we're sticking with these for the majority of our tissue needs. Comments about Seventh Generation Facial Tissues, 2-ply, 85 ct: I recently switched to all recycled paper products in my home, and I am very happy with these tissues. I never liked the coatings that other tissues have to make the paper "softer," so I like the natural feel of these tissues. The paper is pretty soft for not having any additives, and for being a recycled product. Even the box has a fairly neutral pattern that doesn't offend. They are definitely strong enough for blowing noses and wiping down my vanity. Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Was this review helpful? They're not dripping with lotion like some, but they're perfectly functional and they make me feel OK with using tissue, because they're Seventh Generation.
