I bought this for my teenage son to use. He has really thick hair and is going through his oily teen stage. I noticed he had a lot of flakes in his hair but wasn't sure if he was just not scrubbing good enough since most boys in their early teens aren't reallly concerned with hygene or if he had underlying issues, maybe both? We tried several different products and this one really seems to thoroughly clean his hair without stripping it and drying it out. I'm going to get the spray that goes with this and hopefully the tea tree oil and other ingredients in it paired with this clarifying shampoo will do the trick. I've used it myself in a pinch and would like it if it lathered a little better and had a little better smell, but if the formula works without the extra perks than that's what matters to us.

This shampoo is great! It cleans hair thoroughly. I usually like to lather,leave on for a few minutes, rinse and repeat. It works great with the balancing conditioner.

I have psoriasis on my scalp which causes it to be very dry and itchy; I also have very long, thin, Caucasian hair. I am pleased with this product and its matching conditioner. I believe the fact the products are organic and without any chemicals is why it works well for me. I didn't notice any improvements until about three or four weeks of use, and although I still have a little itchiness and dryness, I will continue to use this product, hoping with a little more use, my symptoms will completely subside. This product works for me more so than other products I've tried.

My scalp became more flaky and itchy. Tried once and I thought, try again. The second time made my scalp even worse. The effects of this shampoo are the exact opposite of what it claims to improve or diminish. Had to massage and brush off large white flakes from my scalp!

Checked other reviews from other sites and several reviewers had the same experience. Took a week of using Acure shampoo [also purchased from here] to normalize and make my scalp healthy again.
