My rabbit, as is normal, was a bit nervous at first & is fine with the Shed Pal now. Her fur is A LOT softer & there is less fine fur in & around her cage since using this product. Some fur does accumulate above the vacuums opening, but I believe this is due to the FINE quality of the fur & rubber is an attractant. I just pull this fur off & allow the suction to pull it it with the rest of the accumulated fur. CAUTION: BE CAREFUL around legs, ears, tails... use on thicker fur around the body; the fan can hurt your pet &/or you if held at the wrong angle (joints &/or fingers). I would not suggest that a child be able to use this on a pet unless there is CLOSE SUPERVISION!
This is supposed to remove animal hair, while not scaring the animal. Well it did't scare her, but it sure didn't remove much hair and it didn't suction it into the container. My old cat brush worked much better. A real waste of money.
All pets are different, most pets will have to be acclimated to Shed Pal™ and some pets will take longer to be comfortable. It may take a few days or more of training before you can groom. Before use spend some time to properly introduce to your pet. This will make using Shed Pal™ mush easier once it's time to begin grooming. Here are a few simple steps that may be helpful in making your pet more comfortable with the Shed Pal™. Introduce with motor off using praise. Acclimate with motor on using treats. Proper Technique: With power off, groom pet by using long strokes to loosen undercoat like a traditional brush would. Keep consistent gentle pressure through each stroke allowing hair to gather at the end of the stroke. As the hair gather's into clumps, turn the Shed Pal™ on and use the suction to capture the hair.
