They sell burners that collect the ash in a jar. I use this all over the house to gently set an aroma that is inviting. Sprays candles and other scent for home are not as natural or subtle as this. Unfortunately, when I opened the package to take a stick out, it broke off in my hand. I tried another stick and the same thing happened. I was not able to get full use out of this product, as a good portion of it broke into pieces too small to burn. I'm not sure if the product was on the old side and dried out, or if it was just made too skimpily. A big disappointment! It's powerful in small spaces, such as a bathroom, where you might prefer to use part of a stick instead of a whole one. It smells woodsy and earthy. If you do not care for a musky, sandlewood type of scent, you may not enjoy these. But, I loved them. They are however, very, very fragile and delicate. And I was surprised that they did not have a "handle" on them as other stick incense does. They burn all the way from top to tip. Because of this, I burn them upright in the remaining wax of an old candle jar. Pros
