This stuff is amazingly because it blasts your face with cooling menthol similar to Aqua Velva Ice Blue, but unlike Aqua Velva, it does not burn. Even if you cut yourself during shaving this stuff has so much menthol that it still just soothes your face with the cool breeze feeling.

This stuff absorbs rather quickly leaving your face feeling tight and toned, but also super smooth (obviously you need to have a close shave first for the smoothness). The bonus is the scent. I cannot put my finger on it, but there is something very nice in the scent. Some may think it smells too old school and cheap, but I think the scent is excellent and clean. Great stuff that happens to also be super cheap and available everywhere!

I put a splash on every morning. It keeps the skin under my beard toned, while waking me up. Just don't put TOO much on; that's when the scent ( which is otherwise fresh and fine) starts to get obtrusive.

There is something to be said for vintage and classic colognes and after shaves still being produced. Skin Bracer is indeed vintage and classic, but also quite comtemporary. My grandaddy wore it and I recently rediscovered it. Wonderfully refreshing and cool on a newly shaven face!

I have not tried the plastic bottle with the push and twist lid (mine is in a glass bottle!). If the new bottle cap leaked in my luggage, as noted in another post, I'd not be happy. Four stars for that.

I have used Mennen Skin Bracer ever since I started to shave more than 50 years ago. Still do but now I travel quite often and you cannot carry a bottle of the Skin Bracer today in a shaving kit as it will seep or leak out because the press on lid that is now being put on the bottles does not seal. I am going to try to put a piece of wax paper or plastic bag under the cap to try to seal it. I am sure that I am not the only one that has experience this problem. I have lost at least 3 bottles that have leaked and then evaporated over recent years, any solution in sight. -D Reits.
