My husband is an auto mechanic, constantly working around metal and metal shavings. It seems he comes home weekly with a sliver of metal embedded in his hands, arms and even face! As anyone who has ever had a splinter knows, that will never begin to heal unless you get that splinter out!

It doesn't smell the best (kind of pine tar-ish) but isn't overly offensive. I put a good size glob on his sore and put a bandage over it. After leaving it on all night and all day, he took it off the next day at home from work... And surprise, surprise there was a little metal sliver on the bandage pad and the sore began to heal nicely! We were both impressed! A definite must have!

i had this very painful boil up under my arm pit so painful i couldn't sleep on that side well i went to walmart and tried to find something that would work someone recommended this prid stuff and they said it worked really good well i got it and went home and put a big glob of it on my boil and the next few days it started to drain this stuff doesn't smell very good but it works really good i defiantly use this for a lot of things like razor bumps pimples and cuts and scrapes this stuff has a multiple uses!!

this is more of a balm not a salve,works just as good as the stuff we had on the east coast that was black in color.i will purchase again .

I have an ongoing skin condition that often leads to very painful facial cysts. This stuff draws out the infection without scarring my skin at all. Lumps that would normally take weeks to heal are gone in a few days. If I catch it early enough, they don't even fully develop! It is messy, though.

I work with oils and grease and although I wear gloves sometimes they rip, and the grime really gets into my fingertips. When this happens, I use this ( and other ichthammol solutions) on my fingertip or where I just can't get it clean, and put my gloves on, at the end of the day when I wash my hands -- presto - The grime is out!
