I had a delayed allergic reaction to PRID. I was very careful only to use it only on the area I wanted drawn (1/4" or so). I used non-latex bandages and followed the directions. After a few days I noticed some blistering, so I stopped using it, but it continued to blister well beyond where I had put the PRID and it took 10+ days to heal. The blisters are gone but over a week later the skin is still a purplish/pink color where it broke out (size around 1"x2"). And to top it off, the bump I was hoping to have drawn out, is still there, not drawn. I also used it on a couple of commodones (or milia) and thankfully no blisters, but it didn't work on drawing them out either. I'm not saying it doesn't work ... I'm saying it didn't work for me.

This is a lifesaver if you've got an acne prone teen in the house! Put it on overnight and those painful pimples are gone within a couple of days.

This salve was useful for healing an area that should have been healing better, but was getting red around the injury. A bandaid was useful in keeping the area covered. As soon as I applied this I felt better and my injury began healing well. (I've been looking for something like this since I could no longer get Good Samaritan Salve - which is no longer available.)

What I really like about the product is that it works. I get the WORST ingrown hairs in my bikini area due to waxing. They are big and they're so painful. This might sound kind of gross but they turn into this sac that's just filled with blood and pus. I've had this stuff for a while but never really used it properly. Recently I had this awful sac and I could feel it under the skin. Well I applied Prid every night and it was almost like the Prid almost brought the sac to the top of my skin and kind of... drained it. I don't know how to explain it but this is the only thing that works to get rid of ingrown messes! The only con: it stains my underwear.

I put it on ingrown hairs, boils, cysts, splinters, pimples, cover with a bandage and they disappear overnight. This stuff works great!

Toe fungus that isn't responding with OTC, the salve helped to draw the fungus out, to show me where on my feet the fungus is to treat, and to help with the swelling (knobs) around the toe joints that must be fungus as well that blistered, then popped, and are healing well. Made the feet itch more but in the end well worth it to destroy the fungus.

My husband is an auto mechanic, constantly working around metal and metal shavings. It seems he comes home weekly with a sliver of metal embedded in his hands, arms and even face! As anyone who has ever had a splinter knows, that will never begin to heal unless you get that splinter out!

It doesn't smell the best (kind of pine tar-ish) but isn't overly offensive. I put a good size glob on his sore and put a bandage over it. After leaving it on all night and all day, he took it off the next day at home from work... And surprise, surprise there was a little metal sliver on the bandage pad and the sore began to heal nicely! We were both impressed! A definite must have!
