Very powerful, but quiet. Just moved and am using this in place of my ceiling fan, it works great at moving the air in my bedroom enough to be comparable to having a ceiling fan. Love all the settings. So far my favorite fan. Have been sleeping with a fan for almost 40 years, this is the best one yet.

Have one in my living room, so I decided to ante up and buy one for my bed room as well, since I needed something with a remote, and a timer. (I'm lazy, which explains the need for a remote. And I never know when I'm going to fall asleep, which explains the need for the timer) At any rate, I found that it works very well. I love the options it has, as they're all very practical in use. Not only practical, but very easy to use. I'm not terribly savvy when it comes to things with remote controls, but found this remote, and the options that it has, very easy to use. I was a little skeptical about the figure 8 pattern that it has, but found that this option is actually very useful!!!!!!! I mean, who stays in one specific spot all day long? No matter where you go, it'll eventually make it's way towards your direction. I find that it cools a room down incredibly fast as well. Something about the figure 8 pattern that it is able to circulate the heat out of the room, and it does it quite quickly as well....
That all said, the second one I bought broke on me about a day or two of use. I have no idea what happened. It just broke! It didn't give any indication of wear, smoke, electric malfunction, or anything of the sort, but just didn't turn on the night I wanted to use it. It worked the previous night prior to my finding it broke...so not sure what happened.
The materials used all seem to be very good. The fan itself is very sturdy. I never have to worry about it tipping over. The fan is robust with options. Nature settings, figure eight settings, optional up and down only settings, side to side, etc etc.
The fan that I purchased first is still working fine. I've since got another (this will be the third of the same fan) that I got replaced for the second one that broke. I've yet to unpack it, but will get around to it in the next day or so, as it hasn't gotten hot enough to use again.
All in all, my only disappointment was that the second one broke without any warning. However, dscm customer care was very helpful in getting this rectified without any delay.
