I have used all kinds of sleep aids. I have fibro and have trouble sleeping. I have even tried all kinds of RX products. At least this one helps me sleep with no side effects.

Another reviewer mentioned his/her weight earlier; I don't know if it's because I'm barely 100 lbs (I take regular adult doses of all other OTC medication,) but this had an adverse effect on me. Instead of falling asleep, I had what I'd think is like some kind of "temporary restless leg syndrome," it felt like ants kept running up and down my legs and arms, and I felt like I had to constantly move them to get rid of the more-than-annoying sensation. I'd never experienced anything similar (from a pill or otherwise,) and I threw the entire box into the trash can.

I am a night owl on a day schedule so I use this to get back on a day schedule when I have to go back to work. I usually only use it one night a week. I find this to be the right dosage for me (I am 120lbs) the extra strength is too strong, so are Tylenol PM, Unisom, they feel too strong when they work and they don't wear off fast enough-I end up sleeping in late and feeling groggy as well. I have trouble finding the regular strength in stores, all they carry is maximum strength.

I've severe sleep problems due to several medical conditions and must take a sleep aid. I have tried them all. Prescriptions have such high risk of side effects and if they were to be had I had them. I've tried other brands but they left me overly groggy and with a nasty headache in the morning. So far Sominex is the best brand I have tried. Also the best value. No product is perfect but it does help a little and sometimes a little is better than nothing. It does help to alternate with another brand to keep it effective. (such as nytol)
