The Sonicare electric toothbrush is a great product. My fiance and I have a pair of them. The most important benefit to me is that since I started using it, my gums no longer bleed when I floss. He likes it because the small head reaches hard-to-get spots. They are easy to charge, and the charge lasts quite a while, two to three weeks.
The main drawback, of course, is that they are expensive. Also, I dropped mine once, and it stopped working. My fiance was able to pry it open and get it going again, but it is not meant to be opened, so it was pretty ugly after that, and I ended up replacing it. So be careful with it and it will last a long time!

After a couple weeks of use I opened the inside to find black mold spots had grown in there. The seal on the brush head doesn't seem strong enough so water and debris gets in and grows. I've had to clean it out with soap and water every week and it looks like the mold has gotten into the cracks. I've used cheaper electric brushes that didn't have this problem...just seems like a lot of additional maintenance for a pricey brush. Not to mention being very unsanitary.

Cleans extremely well... Literally feels like walking out of the dentists' office after brushing. Further, when my delivery was left on my porch someone decided they needed it more than I did and stole it. After contacting Drugstore.com, they notated the incident and sent a replacement. Excellent product, excellent service.

The manufacturer's website states in at least 2 places that the HX5351 has the Quadpacer feature that alerts the user to change quadrants in his mouth every 30 seconds. I consider this feature essential, but this unit does not have it. I called the manufacturer and they say that only Models HX57 and above include Quadpacer. When I showed them their literature they replaced my unit it with a model featuring the Quadpacer at no charge. It's a wonderful product, but if you buy this to get the Quadpacer you will need to exchange it at the manufacturer.

Customer Service was fantastic! They initially exchanged my HX5351 when the one I received lacked the Quadpacer. They were friendly, understanding, knowledgable and a real joy to deal with. Both initial and exchange deliveries were faster than I expected. This was my first experience with drugstore.com but I trust it won't be my last! Good job!

This toothbrush was actually a gift for my mother for Christmas. She's always used this model and loves it! The price was great too!

On the negative side, I ordered it several weeks before Christmas thinking there would be plenty of time to receive it, but it was shipped out a week after I ordered it and arrived a week AFTER Christmas. Out of any order I've ever purchased online through the years, this one took the longest to arrive. This was my first experience with Drugstore.com, so in the future, I'll know not to order something from this site if I need it urgently.

It's a bit intense. A lot of vibration, try to not get the handle against your teeth and make sure to look in the mirror to get the correct 45* angle. Really cleans the teeth and below the gum line. I always noticed left over plaque with regular brushing, not so with this device.

Use the toothbrush daily. Good for the hard to reach spots. The 2 minute timer is great. Teeth feel so clean when you're done. Would definitely recommend to others.
