Being a coffee drinker and smoker too that isn't easy to accomplish. I also have this habit of running my tongue over my teeth all the time and hate it if there is a rough spot found. Plus with doing this thing with my tongue if there are rough spots, my tongue will get sore so it's really important that my teeth feel their cleanest. I've used electric toothbrushes most of my adult life (30+ yrs) and have never gotten the results I wanted. Until now that is! With the slightest pressure and a short amount of time (2 min) my teeth felt wonderful and so slick and clean I could hardly believe it! In the past I would always press the brush hard into my teeth to be certain that I got them their cleanest, including in between my teeth too. Not necessary with this brush. I bought the Hydro-Clean brush heads and with this machine and those brushes, my teeth feel just as clean as they do when I have them cleaned by a professional! Not saying anyone should skip regular visits to their dentist but if you can't make it as often as you should, this brush will keep them just as clean in-between your visits. Not nearly as much work for the dental hygienist when they clean them next time - they won't find much to clean! This is worth every penny I paid for it and I know I will never choose another brand should this one ever wear out. I find the brush head constantly falls off. Most of the time when i'm brushing it makes a loud vibrating sound and falls off. I can't imagine other people have not had this issue. I have gotten nothing but better feedback from my dentist after using this product with my regular checkups. He can tell when I don't use it. Saw a review with the toothbrush head falling off. I have not had an issues with that...& i use mine @ least once a day. Make sure you seat it securely. Pros

It works well an cleans very well thus far, but I am going to give it to my wife as I am unable to stand the high vibration rate even at the lowest setting. I have had 3 different battery operated brushes over the past several years and this is the first one that I was unable to adjust to. (and it is programed to start out at only 80% of normal) If you are at all sensitive to this type of brush movement I would go with a rotor type like the oral-B Pro care 1000 or 3000. I would be hard pressed to recommend this unit to anyone unless they loved going to the dentist and having a tooth drilled. Pros

For a $100+ toothbrush that is too quick. Had my daughter told my earlier I would have contacted the company about this. She however because the Sonicare was originally reccomended by her dentist went out and purchased a new unit. I think a toothbrush for $100+ should last longer than 2 years. Pros

She and the dentist both recommended the Sonicare brush and I absolutely love it. A little harsh at first but I got used to it; and it seemed to take forever for the cycle to be over but it sure is worth having clean, smooth, white teeth (I use it 2X/day). Pricey investment but cheaper and easier than professional whitening. Mess alert: Keep it in your mouth while there is toothpaste on it or it flies all over the place. Displaying reviews 11-20
