Yes, it is expensive but it does an amazing job of keeping your teeth clean. I went 4 years without a professional cleaning and the hygienist was nothing short of amazed by the cleanliness and lack of tartar in my mouth. She said that she sees patients with more build-up in 4 months than I had in four years. That's quite a testament to the Sonicare. I used to have problems with gum recession, but there has been no progression since using this brush. AND no cavities whatsoever. This is my second Sonicare and I like the new model better and the UV sanitizer is a nice plus.

Having the timer is nice. It pauses a little to let me know to move on to the next area. My teeth are noticably cleaner.

This is my first electric toothbrush. I tried an electric once and decided that I could not tolerate the vibration. My husband has been a devoted Sonicare Elite user for 5+ years. The battery for his Sonicare Elite finally died, so I bought a flexcare without the UV for him. I bought this model for me so we could have one UV sanitizer to share in our bathroom. Also, I am 8 months pregnant and wanted to take extra special care of my gums during this time.

The one significant improvement that I see is there is no more well on the toothbrush base for residue/gunk build up. I have cleaned my husband and son's toothbrush wells on more than one occasions. My husband is super neat and takes great care of his toothbrush, but he still could never avoid the nasty build up. My teenaged son, well, that's another story.

As for my personal experience, there is still vibration, but I did manage to acclimate since this is the nature of the beast. I noticed that my molar gumsfeel like they have had a workout after I use the toothbrush. I rarely use the Go Care mode because it is not long enough for me. I used my manual toothbrush for at least 2 minutes, so I am accustomed to a long brushing cycle. The brush head is small enough to reach the back of my teeth, especially my wisdom teeth. Everyone should take care to use it the correct way. You don't have to apply too much pressure. I still struggle with toothpaste running down the toothbrush, but that's totally due to my inexperience with maneuvering.

My teeth feel really clean after using the toothbrush. However, please note that you must still floss. This toothbrush DOES NOT replace the need to floss. I hope I get many years of use from this toothbrush like my hubby did with his Sonicare Elite. The price is extremely high, especially when you have to buy replacement heads every 3 months. I will definitely keep my receipt should I encounter problems before the 2 year warranty ends. In the meantime, I look forward to happy brushing and happy dental appointments!

This cleans teeth so well. Way better than the Oral B I've been using for the past few years. I wish I would have made the switch years ago.
In one brushing I could tell how much better it cleaned between my teeth (an area I had trouble cleaning with the Oral B). I was hesitant to spend the money at first but now I would recommend this to anyone who wants a product that will help keep their teeth and gum line clean. It's also very gentle on gums in case you are concerned about receding gums. As far as durability I can't really comment on that because I've only been using it for a few days.
I also like the compact toothbrush head.

I was a little skepticle about this b/c of the price but I bought anyway. Its been almost a month and I love using it. It goes in the hard to reach places. I can feel the difference when I'm brushing my teeth that they are clean.

My brush has worked wonderful; the actual brush has seemed to wear out quick and I had problems and had to return my sanitizer; however Phillips replaced it in a timely manner.

I had the older sonic and it got to the point that it would not hold a battery charge at all anymore. Unfortunately, I found out after the fact that I would have gotten it exchanged if I still would have had the receipt. Instead, I tossed it. For more than half a year I started to use a regular medium tooth brush. My last dentist visit they told me that my gums are receding which I already knew. My dentist said that I would definitely one way or another benefit from having a Phllips sonic care again. I did even so I had no intention to pay the price for one. But it's worth while. The areas where my gums recede already hurt less and it cleans better with almost no pressure applied than using an ordinary toot brush. It's worth its money.
