Instead of replacing the battery or I decided to give this a try since it was on sale, albeit still rather expensive.I had high expectations and was somewhat disappointed during my first brush but then tilted the brush head (45 degrees, as recommended in the manual) and WOW what a difference! I assume it is because of the high frequency (30,000 Hz, I think) but those bristles get right under your gum lining and it is actually rather pleasing to have so much power 1) massaging your gums and 2) getting rid of that hard to reach plaque right above/under the gum lining. After my first use I could immediately feel my teeth were much smoother (as was the case when I first used my FlexCare+) and the plaque slightly reduced. Four brushes and two days later I can already see my teeth are a shade or two whiter and the plaque much reduced.Great product. Also I'm not sure if the R&D is still done local but Phillips bought Sonicare from a company in Bothell, WA (outside Seattle) so if those offices are still open you can take some comfort knowing you're using American ingenuity (albeit in a Dutch-owned product made in Germany :-))Last thought, [$] might seem like a lot but it is a small price to pay for healthy teeth. VS Most Liked Negative Review Too hard, too expensive, made worse With this new brush, I had my worst checkup. As a dentist, I feel that this new brush is a step backwards. Comments about Philips Sonicare DiamondClean Sonic toothbrush, HX9332, 1 ea: I've used a Sonicare Toothbrush for over 15 years. I have purchased several for myself and for my daughters. I reviewed all the new models when my current Sonicare would no longer hold a charge and I needed to buy a new one. I hesitated to spend the money on this one, but decided to because I know how much I've loved my other brushes and was hoping this one will last longer than the 2 years of my past Sonicare. Pros

Cons Best Uses Comments about Philips Sonicare DiamondClean Sonic toothbrush, HX9332, 1 ea: I would not want to be without this toothbrush. This is as close as I have ever gotten to that "I just had my cleaning appointment" kind of feeling. Maybe not great for kids. They are 10 and 7. They prefer the kids version. But the adults in my house and a couple of friends who use it all love it. Pros

Comments about Philips Sonicare DiamondClean Sonic toothbrush, HX9332, 1 ea: The Sonicare Diamond Clean toothbrush is the second Philips Sonicare product I have owned. The previous model was the FlexClean w/UV Sanitizer. I purchased the FlexClean a couple years ago and it still works if I didn't mind that the brush head wobbled loosely. I found that aggravating so I ordered another Philips toothbrush. Before I selected the Diamond Clean, I read other customer reviews for other models beyond the FlexCare model. I considered the FlexCare Plus and the Healthy White models. Because they were similar in design and offered basically the same cleaning functions as what I owned, I decided on the Diamond Clean in the hope that it would help improve my gums and plaque build up in between dental cleanings. The Diamond Clean offers more cleaning functions and even though some reviewers didn't like the handle and found it hard to hold, I have not. It can be slightly slippery while brushing if the toothpaste runs down your hand but I position it in such a way that my ring & pinky fingers cradle the bottom of the toothbrush. I think it's a very advanced toothbrush (offering the ability to recharge via USB) and has a very sleek design. The charging base is not obstrusive on my lavatory counter and it's not as big as my previous model or my spouse's model which is the lower, cheaper version that Philips offers. This toothbrush is extremely pricey but I wanted something that was going to deliver results. I've only been using it for a couple weeks now. The jury is still out as to whether or not it truly does whiten teeth. I'll know more after I go for my regular dental cleaning - I'll see how well the toothbrush can maintain that professional cleaned look. There are other brushheads that will fit on the Diamond Clean, such as the ProResults but for now, I'm using the Diamond Clean brushheads. I can't say they feel differently while brushing but I think maybe my teeth and gums do feel better after a cleaning. So far, I'm very pleased with the toothbrush. Because of its price, I can only hope that it lasts longer than the FlexCare has...that is my only big concern! Pros

Comments about Philips Sonicare DiamondClean Sonic toothbrush, HX9332, 1 ea: I've been using sonicare for years. The new design not only gives multiple options for brush speed/cleaning but it also allows easier cleaning. The old design had places that would stay wet and mildew. The new design has none of that. Comments about Philips Sonicare DiamondClean Sonic toothbrush, HX9332, 1 ea: The design of this Sonicare toothbrush is unlike any other toothbrush currently on the market. I've used other sonic, battery-operated toothbrushes in the past and have been using Sonicare brand for the past 7 years. This toothbrush stands out among the rest due to its sleek, elegant design. There are no crevices, cracks, grooves or removable parts (except for the toothbrush head) that can collect bacteria, dirt, or toothpaste. The toothbrush feels smooth and lightweight and combined with the glass charger, looks very sexy sitting on the bathroom counter. I upgraded to this toothbrush from the Sonicare FlexCare+ and I do not notice a difference in cleaning or performance, although the DiamondClean toothbrush head certainly feels different on the teeth. This Sonicare does not come with the UV sanitizer, which really is huge gimmick anyways, as toothpaste itself is a detergent and kills the majority of bacteria, especially when used with a sonic toothbrush. After a month of use, I would use no other toothbrush on the market. Service and delivery comments: Delivery was prompt and condition of product was great. ![]() |
