This machine has a lot of functions, which I do not care for. I buy these for the convienence of taking on hotel trips with two little children. If you are looking for a simple on/off, volume high/low machine with continuous play - this is not it. get the mercona machine.

I purchased this to use on a 4 day trip with my new husband, who snores. Drugstore.com had the best price as well as free shipping on the item! I primarily bought it so I could use the "white noise" sound. It worked great & so did the "electric fan" sound. I liked that I didn't have to rely on batteries to use it because it came with an AC adapter (not just one, but several, so it can be used overseas where electric plugs vary). The unit was small in size & didn't weigh much, which was nice for suitcase packing. The sound dial allows you to turn it up loud, or to your preference (I had it all the way up). I wouldn't hesitate to buy it again if I had to. It's definitely worth the money! :o)

With shift workers in the house, this is a "must have". Masks annoying daytime neighborhood sounds with soothing nature sounds. Great for anyone who has trouble falling (or staying) asleep. This model has a feature that allows you to have the sound continuously (which is what I use) or you can set it to automatically turn off at a specified time once you fall asleep. Also great for children's nap time. Soothing white noise is another option on this model.

Bought this and it works great! The only wish I have is that it had more "white noise" settings. there is the "fan" setting and the "white noise" setting. Other than that, it is great!
