The LA bars are good, but they do have lots of sugar and calories along with the protein. The LA Bars help you feel like you are not being deprived as they have a candy taste and fill. These bars do the same thing with less, less sugar and less calories, they do have less protein, but do still work well. The flavor is good and they help meet the cravings. Comments about Special K Bars Protein Snack Bar, 6 boxes, Chocolate Peanut, 1 case: I tried both the snack bar and the meal bar. I used to love the meal bars until I discovered these. Meal bars are larger, chunkier and have more calories but they are easier to eat, thus go down much faster and you feel not filled up. These snack bars are way smaller so the eye needs to get to used to it first but for me at least they are much more filling. Since I eat them in small bites with tea or coffee they take longer to finish and because their taste is richer I do not want to eat more after I am done. These are so wonderfully yummy--they taste like a mini snickers bar! There is no aftertaste and my only complaint is that they are a little small, but what do you expect when you are on a diet?
