I used to use Orange Clean but they stopped making that product so I started my search. Having four small pets in the house I needed a good spot remover and after about 6 months of searching I found Spot Shot. I have never spent more then one or two minutes on any stain since I found this product. When ever a store has this product in stock it flies out the door pretty quick so I'm grateful that Drugstore.com offers this product. EVERYONE should try this product! But it leaves the carpet very wet (and I assume the padding, too, which isn't good), even when just a little is used. I won't repurchase- it doesn't work any better than Resolve, and that product doesn't over-dampen the carpeting. My cat is house-trained, so I have no idea how it'd work on problems with animals that aren't & have accidents. My experience is with furballs & little spots here & there from the household, like coffee or tea that spilled over a bit. I have yet to find a product that removes red dye from my non-StainMaster light beige carpet, though, FYI. REVIEWS Reviewed by 13 customers Sort by Displaying reviews 1-10 Previous | Next » Pros
Cons Best Uses Comments about Spot Shot Instant Carpet Stain Remover, 14 oz: Works great on carpet stains both in the home and vehicle. No discoloration of carpet yet and we have been using the product for years. It is getting hard to find at local retailers, but drugstore.com was less expensive and shipping was virtually overnight. Pros
Cons Best Uses Comments about Spot Shot Instant Carpet Stain Remover, 14 oz: I used this based on a recommendation for an old coffee stain on a white carpet. I had already tried at least 3 other stain removers as well as my hoover carpet cleaner. The stain was still visible, but after one use of SPOT SHOT, it was gone. So simple, so effective. Great! Pros
Cons
Best Uses Comments about Spot Shot Instant Carpet Stain Remover, 14 oz: I have used this stain remover all over my carpet to remove mud, food, pet vomit, and laser ink toner (which NO other stain remover had ever worked on for years). Stains actually do disappear right before your eyes; you don't have to wait several minutes like you have to for the other stain removers. The only cons are that this product can't be very healthy to use, and the can runs out of the product sort of fast. Still, I will continue to buy this stain remover for stains that don't come out with other stain removers. Pros
Cons
Best Uses Comments about Spot Shot Instant Carpet Stain Remover, 14 oz: I have non-Stainmaster light beige carpet & own a cat who eats dry food only (her choice, not mine), and her favorite food has red dye in it. When the inevitable hairball happens, I am left with a lovely stain to clean up. Normally, though I get up all I can, the remnants of the red dye might as well be permanently glued to the spot. This works extremely well to get virtually all of the dye out, provided I get to the stain immediately. It leaves the carpet quite wet, and a good bit of product gets used up, since it's a wet aerosol foam spray. Make sure to get up all excess moisture, use old white hand towels to clean up the carpet stains & get to them as fast as possbile after the incident occurs, and this should work well for you. As to other types of pet stains, I don't know how this would work, since my cat is house-trained. Pros Cons

Comments about Spot Shot Instant Carpet Stain Remover, 14 oz: There's never enough in one can! I love this stuff and tend to use it up quickly because it works for everything! Pros
Cons Best Uses Comments about Spot Shot Instant Carpet Stain Remover, 14 oz: My husband spilled coffee on the carpet and nothing I tried would get out the last of the stain. After reading the reviews on this product I decided to give it a try. ALL the stain came up on the first try. I also used it when my cat got sick on the same carpet - that came out immediately too. I see no reason to use any other cleaner - this one works very well. Pros

Comments about Spot Shot Instant Carpet Stain Remover, 14 oz: I couldn't survive without Spot Shot. I have 2 cats and a dog and on occasion they all get sick on my wall to wall carpet. I grab my Spot shot a roll of paper towls and a plastic baggie (to put the paper towls in after I have used them) Pros

Comments about Spot Shot Instant Carpet Stain Remover, 14 oz: I use this product mostly for dog accidents (yellow vomit, etc.) but I am sure it would work on everything. I have tried probably 20 stain removes including some very expensive ones before finding Spot Shot. I spray it on and the spot is gone very quickly. I am going to throw everything else out and just always keep this on hand. Pros
